love the idea and execution.

and as i feared, soooo much of that prototype colored gray plastic. even though he mentions it can be used with buster prime, though does not hold as secure as he mentioned, looks better with the armor.

i think for the price they really could have done a better job with some paint apps.

will still get it but ill be damned then if they take this leader and do the premium treatment and sell as a solo figure.

So do his lights and sounds still work? And if so, does he say yet again that he is Optimus Prime?

 

Dumb question, is this coming to the US? Nice review btw.

 

Can the Prime that comes in this set still combine with Jetfire with the new abs and heels? Might be worth replacing RotF Prime with this, then swap out the combinations from time to time if he can.

 

So no electronics? Would have been nice if they were included in the backpack... Also, I can't seem to locate the MechTech ports he's talking about.

 

This is cool.....again they find ways to sell OP.....but looks good no doubt....will be picking this up..

 

They ARE going to do just that. Wasn't that confirmed a few days ago? Maybe I'm just misunderstanding you here.

 

I love this... but looking at the price on BBTS, I'll probably have to pass it unless a US version comes. I will not pay 170 dollars for a figures I have with what amounts to a 10 dollar add on. Hopefully some third party group makes the backpack and guns that can attach to the ROTF Prime mold.

Like the new abs as well, but once again I can't justify a purchase when this cost 4 times the ROTF mold, and double of Buster Prime, yet lacks it's paint job.

 

Oh my God, that is absolutely stunning. YOU BETTER RELEASE THIS STATESIDE HASBRO!!!

 

How much was it again? The Jetwing parts and just big pieces of what seem to be mostly unpainted plastic with no electronics so if this was Hasbro and not Takara who had it, I wouldn't imagine it more then 60 at the most.

 

They also gave him the new DOTM arm guards.. nice touch  

I don't even mind him not having the Buster paint-job. Sure, that deco is beautiful but I'm affraid to touch it, scared of scratching the nice silver paint.

I like the simple paint on Jetwing (and the original ROTF Prime) because you can play with it without being super carefull.

 

I'm betting a store exclusive around the holidays. They're going to push the Ultimate version all through the Fall.

 

if this had even a "premium-ish" paint job, i'd be all over it... not sure i can justify the price as-is with all that dull grey, awesome as it might be.

 

its great, but not 174$ great.

 

Looks cool, but not enough for me to drop $180 on it. Maybe Hasbro will bring it out over here at some point.
