I have to agree. I don't know why you would draw ball joints on a beast mode pic for a profile book. Hopefully other entries aren't so faithful to the toys, otherwise the book will be a dissapointment, art-wise.

    Dear IDW:

Forget your movie adaptations, the movies themselves do that better. PUT OUT BW PROFILE BOOKS NOW THANK YOU.

Looks awesome so far (even with the minor toyish-looking beast modes---I can live with that:) ). I'm guessing James Raize drew those two....otherwise, I eagerly await how Furman and Yee treat characters like Heinlad. :lol

I like the idea of all the Beast Wars characters being present in the profile book.

My nerd-brain automatically wants to wonder the limits of the book. Will non-Transformers be included, like The Vok and the pre-humans? If they include the McDonald's toys, how will they explain Blackaracnia, Scorponok, and Dinobot as Transmetals? How will the Fox Kids repaints be handled? BotCon toys? Transmetal Airazor's origins?

Just some thoughts. I'm really looking forward to this guide.

I know they're at least including the "original BW" McDonald's toys in the guide, Ben told me so himself at Botcon, so I doubt they'd leave out the TM forms.

I wonder if the Wal-Mart Dinobots will make it... The other Dinobots came out during Beast Machines, but the Wal-Mart ones (which are essentially the G1 Dinobots plus Slapper) came out when the Beast Wars Mutants were out...
