Hey guys, just wanted to give a heads up about this. :)

A dutch gaming magazine called Power Unlimited managed to get the scoop of having the first official review for War For Cybertron in their latest issue, which went on sale yesterday. The review itself doesn't go indepth that much; it just has the reviewer (a known dutch fan) talking about how great of a game this is for the fans, that it's a good game in it's own right that might be enjoyable for non-TF fans...He wasn't able to test the multiplayer for obvious reasons though.

    Score: 88/100.

Interesting that it scored so high without the high and mighty multiplayer.

    Good on ya, mate

Just out of curiosity, did the reviewer also have a problem running out of ammo constantly?

I dont think I've seen a review so far not mentioning that. Seems either ammo drops need to be more plentiful or you need to be able to hold more.

I played the game today at best buy and ammo does seem to be a concern. I wasn't wasting shots either. Guys seem to take a boatload of shots to die.

Why the multiplayer hate? This whole game is meant to be multiplayer. Even the story mode is multiplayer. It's designed around that.

If I want stupid-good single player I'll go play the metroid prime series....I don't think anything has surpassed it yet in terms of single player.

So just like G1 then haha. I think once people are a bit more used to what weapons work best on which enemies, as well as are used to always looking for the ammo packs, it shouldn't be a problem. Melee is in there for a reason too ;)

I wonder if all these peopel who complain about low ammo realise they also have a vehicle mode with it's own ammo.

Thats what really worries me. Watching someone play on Hard, it seems all the enemies take at least a full load of bullets from the assault rifle to kill.

Im assuming they did this so that you'd use your vehicle mode guns, but then only the scout isnt limited to a miniscule vehicle ammo count, and his guns dont do much outside of multiplayer. Seems the Soldier only gets 10 shots. Thats it. Unless you place them very carefull you're screwed after 10 enemies and then next ammo pickup isnt for a long time. This isnt a problem in multiplayer with the addition of ammo spawns and ammo beacons, but when you dont have either option you're going to struggle.

I really hope if this is as big a problem as it seems that HM will patch it. Either by increasing the amount of ammo you can carry and pick up, or reducing the amount of ammo you need to fill an enemy with before they drop.

They do. You just get a pathetic ammount of ammo for vehicle mode too. Again, wouldnt be a problem if ammo pickups werent so rare.

They probably do, but won't say anything, because then they won't be able to nitpick and bitch as much

Along with the ammo you also have something called melee. No one should be afraid to pepper a guy with bullets and then knock him senseless.

There IS a mute button you know. Just mute the idiots. That or, if you're on a 360, create a party. Mutes everyone.

A few of them have unlimited ammo(seekers,Ratchet) but most of the alt modes only get 2 clips worth of ammo(tanks get 10)

Health is the issue that i see during boss fights when there is NO cover.

Finished it today and i give it a 7/10

Yeah I used the alt mode weapons they got low as well. I was purposely conserving ammo as best as I could.

I guess so, I never really cared for difficulty increments being based on making you weaker but the enemies acted the same.
Easy - take less damage, do more damage
    Normal - average
Hard - take much more damage, do miniscule damage

Just reread and yup, he did mention that the ammo is far too rare.

It's hard to get a good gauge on this guy, but I think that a 8 point reduction is fair for this review.
