It's interesting how they went with the 100% G1 Bumblebee look—even sporting the G1 lighter yellow. I was expecting to see racing stripes and gaudy modifications.

 

We can get both if he has pink seats.

I guess Prime isn't on earth yet? If they could get the flatnose they were using for Promos before TF1 came out, that would be grand!!!

Thanks, now I'm 85% sure that I'll not watch this Movie I hate G1, because Bay-haters demand it from the Movies which have their own brilliant soul This indiference to Movie traditions is betrayal for me They already spit over on them on TLK And I don't want to feel more pain And it's obviously that this movie won't have Bumblebee, who I love and know He's bigger, he's loud and energetic, VW bug isn't suitable for him Movie Bumblebee in VW is like a Movie Hound in pink ballet skirt So people who do this movie are total idiots

My only problem is mass shifting. Beetles are pretty small, and I'll find it hard for them to make him fit in one without mass shifting. I mean look at the mass shiftinf that took place when OP had to transform into his cabover. His legs were completely hidden from the transformation because his upper body alone was pretty much big enough for the entire truck.

 

I only noticed Optimus's mass shifting in those scenes after 3 or 4 viewings when I was looking specifically for it. As long as they continue to disguise it well, it won't really bother me.

 

Really? I noticed it immediately. It made me laugh. His windows and grille morph like cartoons, and he like shrinks 50% when he goes into vehicle mode. It was the most blatant cheating in a movie where every traditional transformation was blatantly cheating.

 

VW Beetles aren't that small. Anyway, I've always found the Camaro car also doesn't have enough mass to justify Bumblebees movie design either.

 

Well really none of the vehicles have enough mass for the giant robot modes when you think of how hollow most vehicles are. All the metal in a car is basically the frame, the engine, and the metal 'skin' (whatever that's called).

 

Wow this already seems to be different and total g1 from the vw my only question is is he going to have the movie design or a g1 looking design that has a little bit of bays design

I mean, they absolutely are smaller cars.

Also, the actual mass of a car and it's percieved mass are totally different.

 

Are people still harping about mass shifting? Even after a decade?
