If the toys actually transform this could be pretty fun. I already want donut guy.

I get the feeling that Shopkin/Moshi Monster/Grossery Gang market is an expanding one.

Might be. Not to derail the thread, but economists are saying that the average millennial makes about 20% less in buying power than baby boomers and 5-10% less than GenXers. If this trend keeps up, the demand for cheap, easily purchased, easily replaceable toys will increase. Back in the 80's during the combo of oil crisis and massive inflation, we had a bumper crop of quick collectibles like Army Ants, Food Fighters, and MUSCLE guys. Same concept, arguably similar economic climate.

At the prices we've seen I reckon these will just be cheap static vinyl figures.

Given Tiny Turbo changers, my guess is that they will be cheap vinyl figures, but ones that still Transform

That's because idiot parents paid $2.50 a pop for something that should have been in a vending machine for $.25 and still would have made money.

    HOW IT WENT DOWN:

Executive: "What's your margin Shopkins dept?"

    Shopkins guy: "98%"

    Executive: "Transformers dept, what's yours?"

    Transformers guy: "38%"

Executive: "Better get your margin up, Shopkins is eating you alive."

Transformers guy: "Hey guys, got this idea. Shopkins Transformers. $5 for a two pack, wholesale $2.25 and they cost us $.20 total."

Rest of the Transformers dept: "But do they transform?"

Transformers guy: "No but look, DONUT BOT!!!"

Executive: "Struck gold there boys. Get them made and get them out."

I like Bot Bots and I can not lie
    You other brothers can't deny
That when Transformer walks in with a blind-bagged pack
And a Donut Bot in your face
You transform, want to pull out wallet
'Cause you notice that Bot is hip

Yeah, exactly what I was thinking. The little rubber things.

I reckon that's what these are going to be, then? Transformers version of that? I dunno, they could be good for a laugh. I actually like the bigger Grossery Gang figures, they remind me of 90s gross-out toys. Maybe these will be something similar?

Is this the sorta thing really little kids like? I guess I don't see the appeal, but I'm grumpy and old.

Yup. Tiny Transformers, but instead of being smaller versions of current characters it'll be new characters so they stand apart from their fellow Bots/Cons on shelves.

I know they won't, but I'd love a combiner team of little toilet bots.

Botkins , cool, my 5yr old dghtr loves this stuff.

I like them too because her entire collection fits in a small box and they\'re safe to step on.
