Looks pretty sick, is anyone looking for just Kup from the 3-pack? Myself and a local are hoping to go in on this thing and looking for one more. Hit me up.

This could get really out of hand if we get a Hasbro release, or a 3rd part multiple headsculpt release.

Perfect for a generic Junkion. I do have the feeling this will eventually be released as a Hasbro version as well, so I probably won't jump onto this set (as cool as it is). Seems unlikely to me a new head would be molded just for this Takara release.

Idle speculation but I wonder if Fansproject will now hold back their junkions in order to redesign them to fit on the official bike modes and vice versa.

Maaaaan I want one of those. D: Not really interested in the rest of the set though.

I'd be surprised if that headmold doesn't make it over here- chances seem good that it's the alternate head that a lot of recent toys have had made during the design period. Maybe in different colours.

Well, being on the fence about getting the Autobot set just ended, that's a great head design. Consider this set bought.

Since some of Hasbro's planned re-tools have multiple retooled parts and not just the head(Wheeljack, Black Shadow, ...) anybody think there's a chance the Junkion mold got multiple retooled parts? But in this case more than 2 alternate heads?

I suppose I doubt it, but would be very cool if they had planned 3 or even 4 Junkion heads. I guess it's more likely to expect Headrobots or another 3rd party to create even more heads.

    --------
Most likely, it's as much a Japanese exclusive as Henkei Dirge & Thrust.

For the Japanese market, Takara/Tomy is releasing it as an exclusive.

For the American market, Hasbro is likely to release the tooling in different colors at retail.

It's unlikely the head was designed for just this Ehobby release. Hasbro has been putting alternate heads/parts into most of it's recent molds. So probably this head was the alternate head planned for Hasbro's second use of the mold. Takara/Tomy probably wasn't planning to release the mold a second time at retail so is using the alternate head for this exclusive.

^ Yup, it was probably made to be released by Hasbro at some point. I tend to think the colors will be different (beyond just tweaks) as these colors don't tend to pop in bike mode. He's very subdued which I love, so I think a Hasbro version would have something thrown in to really make it stand out.

I love it as is, and that headsculpt is brilliant.

If we don't get this headmold stateside, I bet funpub will release a 3-4 pack of Junkions whenever they can use the mold.

I hope FP don't cancel theirs now as I want them instead of Hasbro's.

Ordered. I am actually hoping that Hasbro does make this head (and maybe others) but with a figure in different colors. It would be great to have a few production-level colors of this mold so that they could be mixed and matched (possibly with custom heads) to create new characters.

    What did those look like?

I am certain that SOMEONE on this board or a third party will come out with a package of junkion heads. At that time, all of us will be army building :p
