This is a problem? It's a statue, it can't do anything besides sit there and look cool, so it should look as cool as possible.

Debatable. (also, this is the character who wore sunglasses whilst saying "Hasta la vista" Primal is a macho guy)

Not really. The design is updated to be very detailed, yes, but his proportions and weapons aren't overdone or anything. His arm blaster is actually smaller than it should be.

Well he is a beast warrior.

For Primal? Naw, not at all. Again, the proportions seems fairly intact.

And I LOVE how the mechanical cables in his thighs resemble musculature and sinew. I feel like if they were to ever do some sort of Live Action Beast Wars, that would be the direction I'd want them to go in.

That wasn't the hate plague. That turned everybody infected red. This is when they were turned into energy draining vampires.

 

I usually don't care about these kinds of statues, man this one is great.

especially the Waspinator in pieces.

That said, I wonder if either repaint will find it's way to the MP line.

 

Beast Wars statues?! I've been waiting forever for these. Accurate representations of the bot-mode in a large scale is something I've always wanted.

However...I'm probably in the minority with this opinion, but I don't think the base really needed him standing over Waspinator. Almost as if it's a little too macho?

I also prefer the textured "fur" on the MP to the sculpted fur of the statue.

 

Luckily, the MP exists, and is not only even more accurate, but far less expensive.

I like how there's people simultaniously wishing this was more screen-accurate, and others who wish the MP had more liberties taken like this statue. It validates both as being alternatives to the other.

 

That's what I was thinking, poor Waspy!  

 

Not a problem as such but, for me at least, quite out of character, It looks far more like a stance and base you might use for a mighty warrior like Dinobot not the out of his depth captain of an exploration ship turned Maximal leader, and for that reason a nice statue but not for me.

Ha! Well maybe that guy but he'd need Cyberbee sculpted to his chest.

 

Well it could be commemorating the moment where he just stuck the bee to Megatron  

Too macho? This is Waspinator we're talking about here, the flagship whipping boy of the franchise. The very universe the character resides in openly hates Waspinator to the point that it has been listed as his motto. If anything a pile of Waspinator parts seems like a requirement for a high end collector stand for a BW character.

Maybe it's because he's so shaggy, but I'm not really feeling it with this one. The MP is the way to go for me.

 

i bet he smells awful when he's wet.

Wait, what?! A grand?! I mean, I'm a fan but geez...

 

I look forward to seeing how all the other characters turn out (especially Dinobot) because this is a pretty nifty and faithful interpretation of big bot but there's no way in hell I could afford one. A Rhinox with his twin gatling guns of doom would look pretty sick too.
