I purchased MPM-04 (Takara version) and it has just arrived however all the tape on the box had been cut / removed and re-taped but with different tape to the stuff Takara normally uses.

However the plastic strings (with little T shaped ends) still held the figure in place in the inner plastic tray.

I know dodgy sellers can easily re-tape boxes but can they re-apply the little plastic strings as it seems like a special tool needs to be used.

I'm not worried about it being a KO as that's not out yet right? but I don't fancy a used figure especially when the Ebay seller stated it was genuine and MISB factory sealed.

I've received (new) figures that have been resealed (I assume for last minute checks by Takara) but never a figure with all the tape on everything replaced.

If Barricade KOs exist, then I would definitely say Prime KOs could also be in circulation. Would you mind sharing a link to the eBay listing?

This and Bumblebee are 65% off over here. I haven't really given these guys a thought, but at this discount... what are they like?

They're great & fun to transform. After all these months I'm still not bored with 'em.

It's my all time favorite line if that helps. They're the most accurate movie representation of the characters you can get thus far (that can transform). But I'm warning you, once you get one MPM, you'll want to collect them all. :D

65% percent off?? So Optimus is like $35? If thats not a typo then its absolutely worth it.

Bumblebee was more like $US35. Prime was like $US40.

As someone who has no connection to the movie franchise, I think MPM Bee is a really solid figure. WELL worth at least the $35 you mentioned

My brother texted me this a couple days ago.
Got there this morning and only just managed to score them. There was only one Bee left and about a dozen Primes.

Just opened Prime and he’s pretty nice. Looks like a refined version of that old one I had without the battery pack.

Thought I wasn’t going to buy any more movie toys, but at that price...

    Thanks!!!

If I could make one suggestion, try to keep him on a soft surface. The paint on his feet/grill is really easy to scratch up.

So here's a thought: if we do get a DOTM the remold, do you think HasTak will go MP-10 and include all the accessories like that one premium version?

Given HasTak's propensity to milk any Optimus Prime molds into the ground, I think the chances are pretty good. It's just a matter of time.
