I would be cool, but i think that their priority is to shell out a new product different enought to not be confused with the poopfest called MPM - 04 (and i really really like that toy - a masterpiece, no matter the defect - , but frankly, the QC was horrible).
I think that the will:
1) Fix the figure, obviously, maybe with some evidence showed
2) Paint the whole figure, masterpiece toys are premium toys, and japanese collectors like it this way
3) Add A second gun + hooks, just to call it MPM 04 -P (o C for complete, i dunno).

No confusion with previous release, and if they add a new face sculpt, good for us.

Next question, about the repaint: Why not full paint bumblebee? Because BB has a very good color representation with his current plastic. But Prime is silver, like sideswipe (remember the rant about dotm sideswipe, compared to rotf sideswipe?), so he need paint to be sold as premium toy.

 

Hope this time they use the correct shade of red and blue for the peterbilt, NONE of the previous toys has done this for me.

I don't think that will ever happen sharing these kind of release with Hasbro paint wise. I'm sure some of their design and production decisions would change if they fully decided to paint him. While TT's market probably would have no problem with that, Hasbro's market would lave a totally different reaction to a $175-200 Prime. Part of the whole budget thing is not just money to make and design but on the flipside you have to make sure it fits in a certain price range. If Takara decides to revisit it on their own that's a totally different story, but as long as this is more Hasbro's thing and not theirs I wouldn't expect too much in looking premium.

 

We have to see if Hasbro want call it a day with the commercial movie line (the generation-kinda leaked some month ago), and takara would like to stick with the masterpieces one (Bumblebee is very appreciated, from what i understood)

 

Speaking of , with mpm03 being reissued by them and mpm04 missing from the leaked listing . Do you all think they are either reworking on it ? Or evasion moding it .
TBH having my fingers crossed on a rework .

 

MPM03 is reissued due to initial scarcity too (and his nemesis coming), for Prime i think that they stick with the movie 1 version (they added the matrix, so they could add a pair of hook, guns and swords to complete the figure).
I hope for a rework paired with a Bonecrusher figure (followed by a Megatron one)

So haven't been keeping up with this release, at all. Found him today at tru and decided to pick him up now rather than not see him ever again.

Are there issues with him or anything, major.complaints...anything to know before opening him.
