Does it fix the transformation (windshield gaps, smokestack alignment) or is it just for looks?
Does anyone know is this just more of the same or is it supposed to be revised with better qc?
TBH no idea , I've not done mine but I don't think it'll fix the windshield gaps . The problem lies with the tabs that fit into the windshield from the hood or the tabs for the side windows
That's a 200 dollar question.
Totally in agreement with you there. I think both of the MPMs are fantastic. Bumblebee moreso than Prime just because he doesn't have any glaring issues. I have to admit that my expectations are a bit different for the MPMs than the G1 MPs. First, I don't have nearly the emotional attachment to the Bay designs so I don't have every nook and cranny burnt into my memory. The ways that users have pointed out the MPMs are off from the movie designs, I would probably have never noticed. And now that they have, they still don't appear that glaring to me. Second, I never expected these figures to be slavishly hyper-accurate to the source material the way the G1 MPs are. I just think the Bayverse designs are too complicated to expect that. I just expect these to be the best versions so far of these characters and hit whatever design marks I felt were lacking on previous figures. Both of these pull that off easily. So I'm more than satisfied with both of them.
Well, i'm going to buy this in christmas in TRU (if i'm lucky), my birthday is today and i'll buy Bee as gift.
It fixes nothing in terms of tabbing and fit issues.
I'm (apperantly) one of the very select people to not have them backwards from the factory.
My second copy of the figure came with them both in properly and has more for issues than my first copy does fitting together in to alt mode.
It DOES make folding the halves of the cab up when transforming back and forth to each mode feel better since you no longer have the backwards point trying to rub up On the inside of blue panel when you need to move it, but that's it.
It doesn't affect the actual transformation in any way other than the resistance when folding the panel attached by the backwards part over
Happy birthday and good luck finding Optimus.
FFS I just realized that the point of the sleeper cab of a truck is to allow someone to sleep
Now I just have to figure out why the headache rack is a headache
Just scored one on HLJ, $136 Cad is leagues ahead of what tru Canada is gunna charge, very happy to have one secured finally
It's so when you have a load on a trailer and you break quickly, the cargo won't fly through the cab, causing.you a "headache"
Anyone know what trailer this is? Looks great.
Looks like one of the fanswantit trailers. Probably the metallic version.
It's the UFO annular trailer in silver. Extremely hard to find now.
I wonder if UFO will make a smaller trailer to scale with MPM-04.
Edit: Forgot it was UFO who made the trailer. Thanks Artimus Prime for getting it right.
No problem. I have the chrome version of it that I added some details to. UFO seems to have vanished so I'd be surprised if they made a trailer for this prime.
Oh yeah that's true, they has vanished. Dang, I'm eternally butthurt at myself for missing that chrome trailer, that's the only one that ever mattered to me.
Well this figure dropped another 8 Yen overnight at AmazonJP. Haha! I hope it keeps dropping...
I think I'm going to cancel my preorder with AE. It's my understanding they take 20%?
I've honestly always preferred the darker Hasbro version myself, even though it may not be as acccurate. I was willing to live with the Takara version if the QC issues were alleviated.
I guess I'll see how Hasbro's second run turns out. Either that, or go KO.
I would say find a hasbro version and keep it mib till you see what the ko fixes, if anything and then sell hasbro mpm of ko is better.
