Same problems as the hasbro one
See the gaps
Huhh... I just dunno... it does look weird that the pipes are lines up, and everything else is so... far from being tabbed together. Like, at all! But then again, the roof hinges are still reversed. Only time will tell.
Wow! My heart aches at the sight of this >_<
No blue pinstripes, and certainly not looking good for a fixed, tabbed copy... they can't live this down any longer. MPM-4 2.0 is a must now
I am going to give credit now, and say the light grey is working much better than I thought it initially would. A clean transition between oil tank halves
I'll still remain optimistic til I have mine in hand. (Or at least until we have a greater sample size than 1 copy that hasn't even been properly tabbed in places that normally line up correctly)
That sample is pretty much the same as mine when transformed at my best, with how the smokestacks lined up and such. On mine the right smokestack sit marginally higher compared to the left though.
Awww... Oh well.
I got a funny feeling we will be seeing some preorders reopen for this guy soon
Man, MPM-4 doesn't even get a pass in the states according to consumer sites such as Amazon. Can you imagine how overseas consumers will tear it apart (flashback to angry Prime throw gif)? I browsed Amazon JP listings for their MPM-3, and saw a scathing review that many others "thought was helpful" and probably contributed to a decision for many others not to buy. If Bee of all MPM figures got shafted like that, how will they react to Prime?
Who's going to take my AE order...$125 shipped.

So the pale grey makes it onto the finished product, as does the tabbing issue.
I already have Hasbro's version so I think I'll skip TakaraTomy's and wait out for a premium finish or DOTM version to get another.
Okay, you know how quite a few pages back I said I'd laugh (I think it was laugh, I know enjoyment was part of it) if the Japanese version suffered from the same problems?
Well, now we see it does and, to be honest, I'm not laughing. I'm genuinely sorry for those who waited and waited and got burned. There's just no excuse for the figure to be this problematic.
I do hope, now, that people will see Hasbro AND Takara Tomy are to blame for the shortcomings of this figure.
That certain user might have a forking field day with this development though...
Meh. Can't say I'm surprised. Crazy thing is, I'm sure I'd end up paying no less for the Hasbro version here in Canada than I will for the Takara version from HLJ, so I may as well get a Transformers figure from Japan. It's always cool to have one of those. That light grey isn't actually bothering me as much as it used to, probably because I will be getting the Hasbro version at some point down the road.
Take mine pls. Grant me mercy, I beg of you.
Hasbro decision solidified. (If it ever shows up in Canada)
You, who are without mercy, now plead for it?
I thought you were made of sterner stuff.
@Greenlock sick H3H3 reference, dude!
Guess I'll just have to wait another 10 years for the next attempt at a perfect Movie Prime.
For now, Buster Prime will do just fine
This sucks... I can't believe the quality and presentation of these MPM figures is so low compared to the standard Masterpiece line.
Wow. Thinking of cancelling my preorder now.... :/
