I mean, while great tips, pushing in the legs all the way, having the back of the truck peg into the die-cast section and having the feet not go into the cab doesn't affect the front of the truck at all. That's what I've been doing all along and I can guarantee Wotafa has been as well.

If the retail price for this in the US is going to be $100, I can't see many collectors getting the Japanese version unless it comes with all those fixes.

The early bird discount from AE is a reasonable price for the Japanese version.

Considering i'd have to pay around £125 for this in the UK, that AE price is an absolute bargain!

The prototype had a sliding mechanism in the shoulder tanks to extend the inside detailing out. I guess budget cuts meant this had to be scrapped on the final version.

Took a little pushing but managed to tab the front windscreen into the engine section. Its not tabbed in strongly and would untab if it knocked it though. 1500642686832-1622884255.jpg

Yup. Not only that, the side windows don't line up.

Bought the AE version. Hopefully it will have a few extra touches, but I'm expecting it to be the same as the US/Canada release.

The price is great, too! We got hosed here in Canada. The US price for BB is $79. The conversion puts that at $100 CND, but TRU was charging $129 for it. There's a $20 off coupon to help with that, but still! Brutal!

Prime is supposed to be $100 US, which is $125 CND. I'd expect TRU to gouge us to the tune of at least $175. Paying $118 CND to AE is well worth it.

I'm sure it's been asked a thousand times but I have to ask one more, what does shipping generally run from AEto the states, ballpark figures? I'm guessing it's comparable to HLJ?

Haha, nice seeing a fellow TFW2005 member's name right there @Unicron the Chaos Bringer

Not sure if I should make the jump for the AE offering, especially since I wasn't expecting one so soon. The price is good, and Anime Export has earned a reputation for always selling out figures (I take this to mean a good thing), but I haven't had the time to look at HLJ shipping so I don't even know what ballpark that is.

    Continued:

Owners of figures with faulty alt-mode tabbing: Actar, TCracker, Mach, auvelier, wotafa, KNERDOUT, Lukelbs (formerly HolyCulture's copy), Ryan F., Benscollectables, Graeme, ambitron, 1001 toys

Owners of ones that tabbed in fine: TCracker, Zemetri? (picture looked more untabbed TBH), Mark H., Dah Padre

Ah ok, I can only speculate as I don't have it inhand yet (likely next week... waiting for A3U to get it in :p ). I kinda guessed as much but didn't want to leave any stones unturned.

I actually applaud Wotafa's guts, he has the balls to take such drastic surgery to fix it.
