I don't hate the stuff, but I can't really say I like it either. I WANT to like it all, and I'll be watching the movie in hopes of a good experience, but my "inner fanboy" (and those of many others obviously) has some serious issues with the design directions taken.

I'm happy to give it a chance, and I'm hoping for the best. It's just hard to suppress the "WTF did they do to (insert name here)!?!?" voices in my head.

 

I just don't like the look of anything I have seen robot wise out of this movie, I think transformers and that is not what I picture.

 

Why is it so hard for these guys to make Transformers look right? Hell, it is not like there isn't a huge amount of source material and designs that they can't reference. I mean the movie Transformers would have been perfect if they just used Alternator/Binaltech and Masterpiece type designs.

Not too impressed by the bee. And megatron- wtf is that? Seriously, I can't even tell it's a robot. I mean the pic is at a hell of an angle and it looks unpainted or something...

Not excited yet. But I'm not gonna bitch about it either.

 

It seems to be a worm's eye view of the one that they spoiler - highlight to readpull out of the Arctic glacier

 

Seeing Bumblebee's robotic features - and none of the characters we've seen so far have had any humanoid features - makes me think they'll all have those inhuman features as standard.
But I could imagine the Autobots reconfiguring their faces at some stage when they're communicating with the human characters to make them feel more at ease.... so maybe Bumblebee will get a more recognisable face at some stage. I reckon it's a real possibility.

Decepticons will probably keep their non-human heads though... still, I'd really like Megatron and Starscream to have mouths. The head on that Starscream concept doesn't suit the character at all

Clearly is Megatron. I saw the posted picks of Blackout ,and looking at it closely it doesn't resemble him. I recall reading a post of alledge things that were been considered. In it is said Megatron is on Earth frozen. This could be it.

 

Can't really tell too much from megatron's legs as they've got 'ice' all over them, liking bumblebee  

 

Waiting for the final credits... After that I´ll tell what I think about. Not before.

 

Ok, I have no idea how Bumblebee is going to actually going to transform into anything other than a pile of metal crap.

 

They look pretty cool the fight scenes better be badass and gritty like G2 and Ultimates or else this Ultimization of G1 will have been wasted.

 

For the same reason some compare MP-03 to Macross' Valks and E.J.Su's drawing to Gundam's robots.... i.e, I have no clue.

I've watched most Macross and Evangelion anime, have several toys from both properties, and I don't see the similarity between these pics and MP-03 with Evas or Valkyries.

If anything, the movie bots look more similar to the leaked Transtech designs.

I just took a really close look...Bumblebee's head design looks to be almost dead on to the G1 toy design. Very cool.

 

after reading twenty pages felt I should reply...no comment until I see the movie, but at the same time, I feel that everyone has a right to their opinion so those saying that people should quit complaining or stop posting should keep their mouths shut. I say this because while you are not complaining about something now...just wait until its your turn.

 

it might be their robot design before they scan the environment to find out what they transform into.

I just hate how the robots look. They seem so far removed from what I think of as Transformers to truly like them.
