I know guys in high school who could have done a better job. At the end of the day, it's a failed franchise that has nothing to offer but gay jokes.

Kaare Andrews did it. Kind of reminds me of 300.

    Sweet o.o

Hope it turns out to be a good film, and if it follows that short vid's concepts then it should be fairly kick ass.

Definitely has that "I just watched 300" vibe to it

You know, I wish they could just rename the He-Man character something a LITTLE less ridiculous and have all the fans accept it. The series could still be called Masters of the Universe and it'd be fine IMO, but I know people would bitch if they called him anything else.

ANYWAY this is just a pitch so I don't think it's quite right to turn it down just based on how technically it's done, it's more to show a basic vibe than anything

In terms of that I don't think it's anything special, no, but nothing to piss all over

I actually watch the Dolph Lundren movie again Sunday. I like it. Skeletor was awesome.

Pretty snazzy for a presentation reel. I'm not a big MOTU fan, but I've gotta say a chill ran up my spine when that first shot of He-Man and Battle Cat appeared.

Them being fan films is about the only thing they share. Draven's came out better then this one. Although the opening with Battle Cat did look nice.

    Frank Langella FTW!

As for the video here...not quite sure what to think. I had been a fan of He-Man for quite sometime, but it just never seems to be done very well.

It was alright, but I can't say I've ever been very excited about anything He-Man.

"Kaare put this presentation together in one weeks time"

I am pretty much 100% certain your "friends in highschool" didn't do that.
For a weeks time this is great.

Opinion. It still looks like a college course project from a mediocre student.

I don’t think that video is representative of what a file movie will look like but more of an animated story board. I was expecting it be ridiculous but I can see it working.

Calm down there, I don't give a crap about your opinion...you are entitled to it. I just think that you are missing the point a bit. It's not meant to be seen as a 100% final awesome motion picture. Someone mentioned that Draven's work looks much better...well no shit, of course it does. He spends years on that stuff and he puts polish on it because it's intended to be a final work at some point.

    Time = quality.

Presentations such as this are only meant to get the idea across.
Rapid idea generation. It's fairly common in any kind of media to do these kind of quick things.

What you are doing is basically ripping on ILM's animatics for star wars and saying they look cheesy and blocky like a video game from the 90's.

I too think people hating on the quality of the animation are missing that it's not representative of what the final product would look like - just a quick idea

But HEY whatever, everything ever made is gonna get people that hate it, no matter what

I'd see it if it were made.
