YouTube - First Look at A Nightmare on Elm Street 2010
Looks pretty good. I might watch it.
Amazing. Can't wait. Jackie Earl Haley looks like a really nice guy.
I wanna see that...
looks good. i'd watch it.
I'm for it, so long as that whole "Freddy was wrongly murdered and was actually innocent" angle isn't REALLY in the movie.
@ 1:12 in, will he have 2 claws? Or are those just 2 prop claws in the box?
Not looking forward to this.
From seeing the final Freddy design via NECA's toy (God that is just awful) to the trailer...I just can't get excited for it.
I'll give it a fair shot, but this movie never needed to happen, nor should it have ever happened. And from the way it looks...it's not gonna turn out for the best.
The Friday the 13th remake I could forgive, that franchise only ever really had 1 or 2 really good entries, and it's hard to really do a Friday movie wrong.
This is just...eh.
I think that was just two prop claws.
Good to see the Highlander arc welder blades effect is alive and well.
I'm confused though. Did he survive the fire, and then make the blades? If so, that would explain the burn scar look. Wouldn't explain him having more of those godawful sweaters, though.
Looks good, I really enjoy these horror remakes.
Yeah I have to agree, this Freedy's look is nothing to be afraid of.
Honestly, I thought that fan-made trailer's Freddy that's always on fire and has claws which burn through anything was a better idea. YouTube - A Nightmare on Elm Street REMAKE **CONCEPT** TEASER
Whoa now that fan-made teaser was impressive...I mean Freddy on fire..literally as well as his claws. Now the remake trailer I've seen was good I mean its more serious and Freddy..well he looks like an actual burnt victim like someone mention. So this might be cool to see maybe on DVD for me.
I never really cared for the freddy movies but this has sparked a little interest with me. I'll probably wait till it comes out on DVD and just rent it though.
I was leery until I heard that Haley was going to be putting on the glove.
The man can do intense. Additionally, the updated look actually looks more like an actual burn victim.
I'm looking forward to something a little more horror a little less comedy.
New Trailer: The New Trailer for A Nightmare on Elm Street! - ComingSoon.net
It seems like the horror remakes are getting better with time. This looks like at least it adheres to the craziness of the first one. Although if they're going to make it "realistic" (which is what I get from the trailers), I wonder how they're gonna treat the bed scene.
Early reviews by punters are not promising...
Trailer looks entirely forgettable. And the 'kids' all look 30.
As someone pointed out the 'realistic' makeup is anything but - dude would be charred and blackened.
They aren't doing that but anyhow, I disagree. A chap on the AICN talkbacks had some excellent and VERY creepy ideas about where you could take this idea. It doesn't automatically have to make Freddy the hero figure, especially as he is revenging himself on the innocent descendants of his killers (see John Carpenters 'The Fog'), He also posited some great thoughts on how Freddies brand of psychological fear and sleep deprivation might begin to send the kids over the edge and make them start hurting themselves and each other.
All sounded a lot more scary than this remake.
Yep...definately watching this...
