So what is it again? A comic based on the movie or a comic using the movie characters?

It's reprinting the US prequel comic and running it's own original stuff in, I presume, the same continuity. The panels we've seen suggest (to me) that the UK material will be Cybertron-based stories set in the past (no continuity toes to tread on!)

Seems weird to see Senior's art with modernish colors. Not bad weird, just weird.

They've got the right to reprint any of IDW's stuff as well as creating a new stuff baised on any of the TF continuities, so yeah - after the first four issues it could be anything! (although I think that the Movie Spotlights continue for at least the first 6 issues).

    Ok, I'm lost. :)

So, if I want all movie related comic series, what should I be looking for?

If the past is any indicator, the US prequel issues will be split into two and stretch to the first eight UK editions. They may do that and run UK material in the same issue, making it definitive magazine if you want all the comic material 'under one roof'.

I love that Prime has the traditional faceplate and not the bird beak.

Cool... the colours don't set me on fire, but not bad at all, might just be getting used to seeing his work colouredlike that, as someone mentioned above.

I really, really feel upset with myself for not being able to appreciate this "old school" artwork, since I love, simple, stylish work that goes against the grain... but I also still cannot shake that "middle school deviantart" vibe that I get from this. Some of the other action panels do have that clarity of storytelling going on, but the actual artwork isn't impressive to me outside of a kind of nostalgia :(

Ah, you really have to see a full story drawn by Senior to appreciate the dynamic action he can convey.
Look to upcoming TARGET: 2006 reprints for some artistic 'gob-smackery' (GALVATRON's fight with ULTRA MAGNUS in part 8 is my favourite), while the TF/ACTION FORCE crossover, "Ancient Relics", reads just like a big-budget action movie!

If Geoff deliver more like that I'll be soooo happy.

I love Senior's style so much. The left arm could've been drawn in a cooler position, and maybe Prime could've been drawn a bit bigger on the page overall, but great otherwise.
