It looks alright. Bit comicy, IMO. Would have preferred a more commando esque look...But oh well, at least the fans are happy. Now let's just wait and see if the movie won't be a total trainwreck.
Ray Park is the perfect cast for this. He does a great job as the silent, ultra athletic character. I hope this is a good movie. The Transformers, GI Joe, new Star Wars content... it's like my childhood all over again.
Well considering the fact that Ray Park had to have his voice dubbed with someone else's as Darth Maul and had like two or three lines in X-Men, I'd say his actual acting ability is limited. So yes, silent but violent makes him ideal for the role.
Beautiful! Perfect costume for the perfect actor. I'm surprised that he looks like Snake Eyes. Now, hopefully everyone else will look somewhat like themselves. I just hope the Joes don't like just any folks in fatigues. I'm expecting it, though. Humans are way easier to keep somewhat faithful than TF.
Looks very good, I am super suprised. I hope this movie turns out a lot better than the TF movie did, still though I'm going to wait until we see how Cobra Commander, Storm Shadow and Zartan look. Joseph Gordon Levitt as Cobra Commander? Interesting choice.
Why can't they just do a stop-motion film using real 3 inch GI Joes, and get the guys from MST3K to voice and direct it? THAT would be awwwwwwesome.
I'll join the group that prefers Commando Snake Eyes over Ninja Snake Eyes, but that looks pretty good. My only suggestion is they blacken the blade and use a more maroon red for the Arashikage symbol. Shiny naked metal and bright red doesnt exactly help the entire 'Stealthy' thing.
Great updated-classic look. No super-big preference for Commando vs. Ninja SE as long as he looked liked SE and he surely does here.
Ray's lines were dubbed because they didn't think his voice sounded "right". He doesn't sound all macho and scary.
I figured it out, he looks like a badass ninja muppet. The material, the seams, the fake muscle look...
I think they went for the visor since thats his most iconic look. Not the preferred look for us comic fans, but the look nearly everyone recognizes and remembers him by. In this case I am not surprised. Yet who is to say he does not don the goggles in the movie? Already in these 2 pics we can see that he ha swappable web gear. Swappable goggles are not out of the question.
That's what I thought...I always liked the fact that Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes had the tattoo that linked them hidden - it makes for a much more satisfying revelation later on...
