    Test Example
    For everyone on boards
    Choose either
Decepticon or Autobot as thier favorate faction.
Since you see only two choices you only see two answers
There are three the third is so obvious it blows most peoples mind
    The choice of neither.

It looks to me that this is less about a mathematical equation than it is about placing Transformers into 13 different categories.

You don't need math for that.

After having a private conversation about this thread we have decided that there are two, not thirteen, categories that TRULY matter.

    COOL and NOT COOL.

    For example:

-Does the Transformer have a pull-back motor? No? NOT COOL

-Does the Transformer sport a plane for a hat? Yes? COOL

-Does the Transformer have "Windbreaker" as a name? No? NOT COOL

-Does the Transformer have OMFG ROLLERDERBY WHEELS FOR FEET? Yes? COOL

    I rest my case.

I actually am and even I didn't get it. I could, mind you, I just really really hate doing math.

I think Shibamura Prime's cool/not cool categories win the thread.

That still doesn't explain how 45% evil is not the same as 55% good.

I think what he meant is that you could have:

    45% evil, 55% good.
    45% evil, 50% good, 5% neutral

And so on and so forth. I think an argument could be made for the ratio of good to evil determining level of neutrality but then we get into the area of alignments and there's about 10 different possibilities for alignments at the very least.

Neutral is a choice, is ratbat always evil? Ever good? How about a little neutral...
Neutral is not taking a side
you are only looking at black and white.
    Either good or bad

The glass does not have to be only half full or half empty...or both it can simply be half, or completely full (wrap your brain around that? -full of liquid and gas) It is not a hard concept to grasp it just takes unhinging of what we expect to see.

Use Armada Statscream as an example.

Actually it should not be good or evil but Order and Disorder. But I took the hasbro approach for simplicities sake...

Think Atomic Structure - Electron (-), NEUTRON (~), Proton (+)
There is not JUST + and - there is also ~

    Interesting maths theory.

However, some of us lack great maths skills.

So, could you please explain the categories, and how to classify a transformer as one of the 13, in a simplistic, not-so-maths, way?

And actually I could go one step further with it and think of it in AD&D terms. You've got chaotic, neutral, lawful and then you've got good, neutral, evil. So when you start thinking about how many different combinations there are (lawful good, neutral evil, chaotic neutral, etc...) it can REALLY start to get confusing and of course such a system adds that many more exponential possibilities.

I was going with the two multiversal constants
Of course it is said all 13 are
I am thinking that 13 sparks are but not necessarily bodies...

    Macaddam? Hmmm
I think it is Vector Prime in Disguise but what do I know...

The real question is what powers they have

Vector Prime - Space an Time
    Fallen - Entrophy
Nexus (Maximus) Prime - Rarified Energon
    that leaves 10 unknown...

I am getting instaviz on payday so I can have a poorman's omnigraffle
    Imagine seeing it visually

Yeah, but you said good and evil, not order and disorder. Either way all you really need are two constants.
