    All,

So I decided to take the advice of others and start small; a Firetrap to Brawn conversion. Other than just sculpting a new head, anybody have some ideas on a reasonable substitute that could be used?

Classics Cyclonus' head with out his rabbit ears makes for a great Brawn head, if you can give me a few weeks, I will have some resin ones available to sell.

Probably not much use for Firetrap though - bear in mind he's only a Scout.

But.... Firetrap's head is abnormally huge for a scout, so I wouldn't rule out Cyc's head just yet. It still might work. Or, of course, Overhaulimus could always invest in some Hydrospan if he's going into the casting business.

Hyrdrospan/Hydroshrink has been discontinued, plus it's very hard to get it to do what ya want.

I do plan on casting the Cyc heads, as well as a few others, though most of those will be sculpted heads of characters that I feel people will want.

Well with a sculpted head in that size I may very well go with a larger base figure....

Let me know when you get this head done....I'd love to see this. That does sound like it would REALLY work well.

It should be ready to happen with in the next week or two, I'm waiting on the silicone to come in, once that's done, he's ready to rock and roll.

Last I heard, yea it was discontinued. A few of my prop building buddies used it for certain details on props and they were the ones that told me it was discontinued.

I found a website selling it...so I don't think it has necessarily been discontinued...perhaps just harder to find? I wouldn't know what it is except it's a GREAT way to do 'shrunken heads' for props or what have you.....you can even 'shrink' people you know! :)

I still see Inscribe craft acrylics (the main paints I use) in shops occasionally, but I know for a fact that company went into liquidation about 6 years ago.

It's most likely a similar case here; the website you've found just happens to have stock left over from before it was discontinued.

Yea, exactly what Ramrider said, I even called my casting guy and he confirmed that it is indeed discontinued.

What a damn shame! I just saw some of the videos of what that stuff can do and was thrilled as mold making is one of the things I have a ton of experience with...I could have done all kinds of cool things with that stuff!
