I'm hoping it's the Voyager, seeing as it's the only one readily available in normal colours. Deluxe is either battle damaged, crystal, or a ridiculously rare non-damaged Lucky Draw-type prize.
From the email I got, The trailer will be a faithful representation of the almanac design. It will be redesigned to allow for use on the voyager Optimus Prime mold. I am totally stoked for the repaint potential of this thing. Animated Nucleon Quest Convoy!!! TURBONER!!
If they made a version fit the Classic Voyager prime I'd be interested. That toy needs an add on that isn't a recolor of City Commander.
Nucleon...is nice to bad there is no orange Animated Prime..then it would be given Animate FIRE GUTS.
Maybe could work with a differend version. I would probably buy one for toxitron...lol This design is freaking beautiful!
Oh man, yes. Third party Animated is the next best thing to Hasbro resurrecting the best Transformers line of the last 20 years. Hopefully someone will take a stab at doing full figures, but as opined elsewhere, the engineering would have to be pretty great.
God damn it! And to think I just sold off my Animated Prime last month. Oh well. Nothing I can do now I suppose.
I think I now need a voyager animated prime unless it would be compatible with the deluxe cybertron mode one
IT WON'T SIT DOWN Seriously, if this is anywhere near as good as what I'd like, then it's my first 3rd part add-on.
As much as I LOVED Animated... seeing this for the first time (never got around to picking up the Almanac) I'm left a bit ambivalent. On the one hand, it looks pretty neat, and when I read about it on the Wiki I had lots of different ideas on how it could have been realized. On the other hand... it's Powermaster Prime in the Animated Universe. As cute as some of the cameos in Animated were, I feel the designers took it too far sometimes, and toward the end you couldn't bat an eyelid without catching yet another G1 guy (with a rare appearance from a BW character) hiding in the background or interacting with one of the main cast. This thing is no different; he's got smaller legs, but it's essentially God Ginrai/PM Prime with Apex but without the chest piece (down to the platform shoes in the original designs). I guess I would have been happier if the PM upgrade was something completely different. TFA was satisfied with doing its own thing in the beginning (we all saw Omega Supreme coming, but it was a welcome departure, IMO, from the stoic, physically impossible multipart guy from G1) and this was prime (no pun intended) opportunity to be original again.
i'm alone wih the theorie that this is fake? it just a blacked out version of the hasbro variant: so sad that it never happend
