Well, I imagine the crossover between fans of these two properties is pretty slim, but I figured you fine folks might get a kick out of these anyway. I'm currently working on a mash-up between Firefly and Transformers Animated. Pretty much because I can. The ultimate plan is to put together some photo-comics with TFA figures reenacting scenes from Firefly and Serenity. That's a ways down the road, but in the mean time, here are a few characters I've worked up so far. I give you: Firetruck! If you're not familiar with Firefly, for shame! It's only the best thing of all time ever! Go pick up the complete series on DVD, you won't regret it. No, really, go right now. I'll wait. Anyway, let me know what you think, and stay tuned for more!
Grimlock as Jane is brilliant! They have practically the same mentality and outlook. Just don't ask him to show you the chain of command. Well done!
Heh, some of the personalities do match up better than others! I think you'll find just about all of Jayne's lines become better with the addition of "Me, Grimlock." "He robbed from the rich and he gave to the poor, Stood up to the man and he gave him what-for. Our love for him now, fills hearts to the brim, The hero of Canton, the man they call Grim!"
Oooohhhh... Shiny! You sir, will be a Big Damn Hero in my book if you can pull this off well! I can't wait to see what you're able to come up with! The 'costumes' are a great fit for the characters as well. -I like Captain Tight Pants' suspenders & Browncoat and I *LOVE* the Jayne Cobb hat on Grimlock, now you should fit him with a 'proper' Vera for him! Everyone needs a rifle in their bunk!
Yeah, I've noticed that the Jet Twins seem to be disproportionately popular. I guess they inherited a lot of fans from Sunstreaker and Sideswipe? It's funny, because even put together their costumes took less time than, say, Blackarachnia's dress or Slipstream's coat. Go figure!
Glad you guys are enjoying these! I just added a new one: Oil Slick as Adelai Niska and Angry Blitzwing as Crow (with Waspinator cameo).
This is something I've had sitting on my table for ages, and finally got around to painting today: Blurr's piloting console, complete with Dinobot Mini-cons (curse their sudden but inevitable betrayal)! And, because I've been waiting to recreate this scene for weeks:
Sure have! Keep missingo ut on the "Can't Stop the Serenity" showings though... I want my gorram trilogy.
Waspinator's beast mode has the right sort of shape to it. A little creative kitbashing... it could be doable! Well, uh, whatever floats your boat, I guess?
