When I got the Fireburst Optimus Prime (Mainly for the weapon) I found that the axe blades doesn't go all the way together. Is this just how it's supposed to be, am I doing something wrong, or is it broken?
The fireburst ax blades are supposed to meet at the top when deployed. I did purchase a Fireburst Prime that had a faulty ax like you described. I thought it was because some of the gears were misaligned and tired to take it apart and re-align them, but no matter what I did, it would eventually go back to the way it was. I ended up having to exchange it for another.
Mine does the same thing. I tried holding one end and slipping the gear one notch which does close up the axe, but it ends up lopsided.
