Everyone needs to watch Fireball. A Disney animation of shorts currently only released in Japan. It's also the most awesome thing ever.

There's only 13 eps so far, with a second season planned.

Seconded. This evening was a strange little rollercoaster of seeing Figma Drussel-->watching Fireball-->wanting Figma Drussel to come out faster.

I take it that's a hitchhikers reference in the first episode

    Excellent animated shorts.

I think I may be adding that Figma to my import list.

The hilarious part was both Vangelus and I preordered the figure cuz it looked cool, then we discovered and watched the show, then spent about 15 minutes being very proud of ourselves because of our ability to predetect awesomesauce. :D

I had watched up to episode 8 beforehand, I believe, so I had watched some of it by the time the preorder was up. I did rewatch the entire series upon preordering Drossel though.

What a great little series, completely bizarre and very funny. Also, everything is better with jet-propelled robot hair.

EDIT:: Seems someone in the Figma thread beat me to the punch.

Anyone else think the Figma would make a good Sari repaint?

Anyone else watched Fireball Charming (Season 2) yet?

Just watched the first 10 eps. Once I hit ep 08, I knew I loved it as much as the first season. :lol  Ep 10 is also an early favorite.

Still prefer the original Drossel design myself, but this one has grown on me, and I eagerly await the new Figma. :)

Where's the best place to find episodes?

One of the anime sites I hit put up Fireball Charming episodes, but I can't find any of the first season episodes.

Oh wow, I totally missed this when they showed the dates in Charming:
Makes more sense now! Especially why Schadenfreude is not around.

Weird....with the powers and design of Drossel you'd think she was upgraded. Then again stuff like her not knowing much about humans, Ged├Ąchtnis' less convenient design and, like you said, the lack of Schadenfreude support the prequel claim.

That said, I'm all caught up on both series. It's so unique in it's machine gun humor. You really need to keep up with the subtitles to understand everything, but it's worth it.

Favorite episode has to be Charming Drossel trying to learn proper conversation with the puppet.

Watched a few episodes a while back, seems like a lot of buzz is going on about the series so I'm starting to watch again from the beginning. Shouldn't take too long to get caught up since the episodes are so short.

    The last episode is out!

The ending is neat, it leads into season 1. I need to watch the last two eps a few more times I think...
