The mass effect comment was in a playful response to Galvatron there. And Fanboys are the only ones that get hot when someone presents an argument about their system. The PS3 has crap for games right now, the PSP is a hit or miss with the shooters because of the lack of analog, the 360 breaks all the time, and the DS is a gimick which sometimes works and other is horribly used (StarFox), so there is no fanboy shit to can. Every system has something bad about it.

So I agree, the PSP game looks simple, but yeah, next week we'll find out if either handhelds are worth playing.

 

 

Best post ever, and this can be applied to so many things too!

The G1 vs Movie debate for example:

The movie's designs are very intricate and complicated and best of all: They look REAL. The bad? Skinny, fragile looking builds, uneccesary movement and lips on Prime. The horror.

G1 was good because it introduced everyone to Transformers for the first time and created some of todays best known characters. The bad? Well, besides the cartoon and toys themselves sucking fairly consistantly and the only thing keeping G1 alive is fanboy nostalgia and reissuses from Japan, nothing.

See? Everything sucks for one reason or another.

Well.... back on topic... sorta...
Yes the bots looks plain for the PSP, but as long as they look good while running around shooting and causing mayhem then it'll be fine with me.

 

But see, that's what makes this so tragic: They don't.  

 

How else will they sell it!

 

Its not so much the bots themselves but the textures on the bots. It looks like they reused the textures from the ground on the Star Wars Battlefront 2 maps on the PSP and recolored them and place them on the robots or in other words, it looks shitty. Quite sad for a PSP game. While stuff like MGS O and SF M are out.

 

I don't mind the graphics step-down, since it looks like this one's got the best gameplay of the four.

I mostly use my psp for emulation anyway. If it looks nicer than a ps1 game, I'm sold.
