that is possibly the ugliest PSP game there is. the models have a ton of pieces missing, the textures are shit...

I was hoping we'd get graphical quality on the level of Armored Core: Formula Front, but that's not the case. what a dissapointment.

Well if it has a better framerate than AC I won't be complaining, because what AC makes up in graphics, it lacks in Framerate.

I dunno, hehe, you can still go lower in the graphics department. Ahem, DS!

But yeah, I wish the big boys had the 20+ characters and 500 Player Multi

the DS models don't look that sloppy though. they have less polygons, but they're used well.

    valk-ee-sas

Sony didnt make this game. its not their fault if people dont know how to use their hardware.

Hehe, if you say so. And transforming with a pen... no thanks.

Especially when the PSP one can still have the virtue of smoother gameplay despite the graphics and the DS one looks like Spiderman on 2600 and allows you the enjoyment of pointing at the screen to transform.

    Taking it from the top...

Yeah, the DS models are bad, but they're somehow put to better use... don't ask me to explain that.

    Thanks. :thumb

Yes it is. Don't be Sony's bitch. :lol

The models on the DS looks like the PS1 Beast Wars Transmetal game. Ultimately, we'll have to see how they move, because I have seen very basic models move smooth as silk and compensate for their low poly-count, and I have seen high-end models move like ass. The models on the DS may look better-put-together, but if you are running around that nasty barren landscape shooting like it was before DOOM1, then I'll take the broken poly characters, and more destruction and structured levels.

It's ok. I'm a sucker. I'm getting one for every system, except for Xbox because I'm already getting the PS3 one. But I'll be getting the DS version (Autobots at least).

Edit: Oh, and I own Beast Wars Transmetals. And I play it from time to time.

I'm gettin' the 360 one and MAYBE the DS one. Maybe. I'd get the PSP one if I had a PSP just 'cause Wheeljack's in it. :D

He's talking about how you have to whack the touch screen with your phallace just to transform your 'bot. It's annoying, I know. :rolleyes2

I can't be Sony's bitch and say that one of the greatest games of all time is coming to 360.. Mass Effect Baby!! It's on in September. I just have to spread the love, and the PS3 is in need of loving. It's been a dry year.

no one has any reason to complain about a game for a touch screen system using a touch screen. its pointless. no one bitches when games make you use buttons. just think of the touch screen as a really big, flat, segmented button array that can show pictures.

and the spiderman on 2600 comment is what really confused me.

The graphics on the DS game look as simple as the old Spiderman game on the atari 2600 (sarcasm, though there is a resemblance http://www.consoleclassix.com/info_img/Spiderman_2600_ScreenShot2.jpg
). You transform using the stylus (not very fun in the middle of the action). And framerate, and animation cannot be ignored when reviewing a game, so judging it by the simplicity of the character models without seeing it in motion or trying the competitor's game to see if putting down the controls in the middle of a fire-fight to pick up the stylus and press transform (or do it with your thumb and smear the screen) is actually fun, is a bit premature...

And the touch screen is great (works great on StarTrek), but what really pisses me off is when they use it as a gimmick (controlling your plane with a Pen in Starfox? Come On!!) Transforming should be second nature in this game, not a lost button on the big screen

No kiddin', I think the game store in that commercial a while back that carried knockout titles like "Let's count sand!" and "Nada 3" had better game selection than the current PS3 line-up. Yeesh! :puke:

    *Cradles 360*

you can hold the stylus and still hit buttons on the DS. I do it all the time. and tapping the DS' screen does not smear it unless you actually try to smear it. the screen is bright enough to not show any smudges during gameplay.

there is no similarity between any atari 2600 game and the DS transformers game.

I was commenting on the games graphics, I was not commenting on it's gameplay, because I havent played it or any of the movie games, and neither have you, so you shouldnt be making calls on the DS' gameplay and controls either.

can the fanboy shit/mass effect discussion please leave this news forum topic for a PSP TF game?
