I've been really picky with which movie toys I've picked up, mainly die to the current lightness of my wallet. I decided to stick to just the five movie Autobots, partly because they are roughly in scale, and also because most of the Decepticons look like rubbish moulds (especially Starscream and Megatron). Unfortunately, due to other more important uses for my money at the time, I missed out on Ironhide.

After searching all over, on and off line, I was almost resigned to paying over the odds on ebay. Then last night, in my monthly 'Big Shop' at Tesco, I had a quick look at the toy isle, and there he was. The only voyager on the shelf, and it was Ironhide. Whoo!!

He's a pretty nice toy, apart from the wobbly shoulders. My autobot army is now complete, and I am at peace!

pics or it didn't happen... :lol  kidding!

    congrats!

i just want the first wave movie guys, and maybe some of the drones, everything else really doesn't interest me much at this time.

and actually the animated guys interest me more, i might even skip the movie guys.

don't know they are just not very attractive to me, also i missed out on the entire first wave in june, and still have not bought any, meaning, that they're prices have sky rocked on the internet.

but where did you get yours?

my one rant about him is that you can not see his face really, his eyes are like hidden inside his face. and other things, i believe his eyebrows or helmet, seems to stick out, looking like eyes, yet they're not, so it just looks weird to me.

i mean maybe once i get him, i'll like the mold, but getting over that lack of face paint's going to be tough.

Congrats! I'm looking for him too, at cost! The Evac mold has me on a run, now I want figures to put next to MP OP. I did manage to score '09 BB and Barricade from Hasbro. Does it ever end?

Congrats! Ironhide is probably the best Voyager figure in the Movie toy line. I've had it with movie figures. I'll focus collecting MP lines instead and YES up to now no 08 Bumblebee for me... those hoarders and Hasbro should also be blamed for producing so little of it. I mean most shops wants a stock for Christmas but according to one staff 08 bumblebee is still two per case along with other shitty deluxe figures. I hope they dont commit the mistake that Mattel commited for the MOTU.

I finally found 08 Bumblebee at Target but if I wouldnt of found it at retail I wouldve skipped it too. No way am I paying inflated prices on ebay. Damn scalpers and employees snatching up the Bumblebee's sucked.

Ironhide is a great figure- he' actually really posable, and his shoulders can lock into place, though it makes the shoulders flatter then they generally are supposed to look. The main problem, once you get the shoulders secured, is the waist, where his top half can detach from the lower half, even while trying to just rotate his arms up. If you can get around that, he looks great in both modes and is one of my favorites of the movie line, behind Leader Prime and Brawl.
