it is because hasbro wants to sell both leader and voyager class...pro and cons...if u wanna detail apps accurate to movie version go with leader class..if not there seems the need of voyager class if u looking for movie accurate looks less fatimus looks..my opinion cos im thinking like that...i'll will get them both when their arrived in my country here....

I was just about to make the same comment. If you know truck terms, you can only see "hitch" written so many times in a row before it really irks you. Kind of like "flat nose" vs cabover...

Test shot wins for having less flames.  

The final is closer to the movie colours, but that dark G1 blue on the test is gorgeous.

 

Makes you wish you could pick and choose the colors and paint apps on your toy from a catalog.  

I also find it a little funny that the thighs and upper arms get coated completely in silver paint, but parts that would actually appear on the outside of the truck mode are still in the duller plastic.

 

Now is it me or does both primes look like they have drivers in them?,I was not aware
they would come with one.And if so could someone tell me where this was stated?.

The driver is part of the disguise, it's built-in, not removeable, people say it's supposed to be Peter Cullen

 

So are all you guys unhappy you got more detailed eyes and alot of silver paint? Because the undetailed huge-looking eyes and the lack of silver paint were the main complaints when the first dark-coloured test shot of this toy appeared.


If the test shot had been the final toy, you guys would be complaining about how we didn't get all that cool silver paint from this version.

 

Eh, my final decision was based on his size. I'm going to be getting the leader class one so that when I have him and my energon Galvatron posed like they are fighting, Prime won't look like he's David fighting Goliath. (sorry, Bible reference, but it's the only thing i could think of, lol)

I was planning on buying the original Prime's trailer stickers from repolabels and fixing them onto RID Scourge's trailer to make a decent trailer for the movie figure, so the chrome finish and brighter blue match the planned color scheme a lot better.

 

I still think silver paint from this with the darker red and blue of the old would be AWESOME. And hell last minute changes do happen, I wouldn't be surprised if we got the best of both worlds.
