That's true, both versions look unfinished, but that's the case with a lot of Transformers at retail. That should keep the kitbashers busy for a while.

 

Test shot looks better.

 

The darker blue looked better, but the silver paint on the final one is a +...still...neither voyager nor leader class looks like the actual movie prime...at all!

 

I like the test shot version better. It reminds me of laser prime!

I lean towards the test shot coloring, but I'm probably not getting it either way, so my opinion is extra meaningless on this one  

 

Liking those darker colors a lot more, ah well.

 

Final or no, it's nice to see a side-by-side gallery of the two paint deco versions. If nothing else, it'll be a good resource for what I'll have to add to it to "complete" the paint scheme when it gets released in stores  

 

Both versions are great.

 

Eh, after seeing the final pant deco, I'll be getting the Leader class one. I'll also be getting a 2nd Leader class sized one to make Sigma, but for my Coke Prime idea, I'll get this one to save some money on it, or just wait for the Leader sized one to go on sale.

 

That's one hell of a nice toy. I'm gald they added chrome. I also prefer the lighter blue. Makes it more prime-ish, I guess.

Where's the chrome on the stacks though?  

 

To be fair, it's not chrome... just shiny, delicious, silver paint. Chrome stacks would have been icing on the cake, as it were. Still. I can't say I don't like that shining metal grill and the darker red on the hood. The alt mode definitely benefits from the deco change more than the bot mode is hurt by it.

[plus the blue flames dont contrast as well as they do on the test shot. not to mention the actual Prime truck from the movie uses a dark blue]

What's up with Ebay sellers charging ridiculous shipping fees? $40 for standard US shipping? Absurd.

 

It's because eBay doesn't take a cut of the shipping charges, like they do of the final cost of the item. Technically it's against eBay regulations to overcharge shipping and undercharge the item itself, but you still see a lot of things like DVD sets from Hong Kong which go for a dollar... and then have $70 (the value of the item) shipping.

It's easier to get away with it if it's not quite so drastic a difference, though. Lots of eBay sellers do it.

 

I agree, thats an awesome snag. But I to am most likley going to wait till it hits stores or at least BBTS 

 

The test shot was a lot better imo  

 

Final version looks way better than TS to me, especialy he head.

Though the TS does have more movie-accurate paint-apps, in bot mode, however FV vehicle mode is more accurate.(and detailed)

I hope this isn't the final version, and that the real FV has these new paint-apps, with the old sade of blue plastic.
