Final Fantasy XII Hits Japan(Review of the game added)
So it looks like it will be out just in time for the PS3.
Here's a complete review of the game from IGN. It goes into detail about the License Board, earning Gil, Gambit, Mist Knacks, and more.
not a chance ....
I shall not buy a PS2 until I can get on mod !
This game better be worth the wait.
Well, Famitsu, a reputed Japanese videogame magazine, gave it a perfect 40/40, an elite slot shared only by a few other games such as LoZ: Ocarina of Time and Wind Waker. If that means anything to you at all.
I still think this should be FF XI, not XII. FF XIshould have been called FF Online or something like that calling it XI was a marketing ploy as a MMORPG has nothing to do with the main line. They didn't call FF Tactics FFVII.
It's not an RPG anymore. The battles, now completely Adventure-esq like Secret of Mana, ruin the game. I hate the battles. I'll buy the stupid game because I love the series and the graphics are, as always, breath-taking, but damn, let's keep our traditional battles.
another good point, if I wanted an Action RPG I would get one, that is not what FF is supposed to be about.
I'm not too crazy about the new battle system either. However, I want to give this game a chance. Hopefully, it'll be worth the wait
Sounds like if you slow it down enough it may as well be trun based. For the most part I don't like my RPGs to be action rpgs, mainly because I usually suck at most other games. I have a few that I've gone with the real time, but this sounds interesting at least. I'll give it a shot before I start bitching too much about it, but expect the whingin to commence when I get frustrated.
