Hi everyone. I know I'm just a tad bit late with this one. I've got FF11 for PS2. It's still sealed and I was thinking about giving up on getting rid of it and trying it out. My question is: Do you HAVE to buy the online service/play it online, or can it be played like a normal game?

    Thanks.

It's online only, no off line play. If I remember correctly it is $13 a month to play. Unless you have a lot of time to devote to it I would recommend to not play it.

That's what I was afraid of. At that price, and with the time I usually get to play RPGs, it'd cost me $1k to beat. :D  Thanks.

Out of curiosity, did it come with the PS2 hard drive?

That's right. You need that if you want to play it on the PS2 and you also have to have a PS2 that can support the Hard Drive. The newer ones can not.

Except for you can't normally "beat" an MMORPG.
