Meet Final Combat, China's Shameless Team Fortress 2 Rip-off Here are two more videos. Things to note. The sound effects, font, and health meter are taken directly from TF2. The map is from Battlefield Heroes. YouTube - Final Combat - "The Rocket" Gameplay Footage (Chinese Team Fortress 2 Rip Off)‏ You can hear one of the Scout's voice clips, and even the female announcer. YouTube - final combat: the rocket (aka team fortress 2: the soldier)‏ It's pretty obvious they just took TF2, added maps from BFH, and then made some graphical changes. It's pretty sad, really.
Yup, I think that's the exact same rocket launcher model for the Soldier. Also, they made the Sniper a woman. What's that about?
Awful, and not terribly original of course. The first time i saw an image of the "the Rocket" i thought it was some kind of upcoming Firefighter suit unlock for the TF2 Soldier and than i saw the horrible rip-off of a game that it came from. Just for fun, Valve should rip the character designs, like the Firefighter Soldier from this game and add them in as unlockables into TF2.
I really don't get how the world allows a whole country to disrespect intellectual property and freedom of their own people. The only cool thing about China is Jackie Chan.
China is the "new" Japan...I remember the days when Japan was blasted for copying stuff from the US and Europe but I guess with China is that they're more...blatant and daring... Not just Jackie Chan but also Bruce Lee and Jet Lee! LOL! But I would like to point out there's some cultural difference between the Chinese like Europe. For example, Jackie is from HK and Bruce while from HK was very westernized. Jet Li, on the other land is from mainland China. And there's even among the chinese in other parts of the world that disagree with how the China chinese disrespect intellectual property and other business practices. For example, in my country I was blasted by fellow collector in my country (Singapore) when I slammed the practice of local shops selling "stolen" toys and "quality rejected" figures in my country. My critics don't seem to understand that by supporting such practices, we are hurting the toy/gaming industry! X)
