I understand there were probably safety reasons for it considering the brittleness of the transparent plastic and all, but Topspin is going to look really out-of-place when he combines with the others, considering he's the only one who's NOT mostly transparent plastic.

Yeah, but a lot of that transparent plastic, IIRC, will end up on the outside of the limb, so he'll look more transparent that way.

Nice. Really like this one though I do echo that his lack of transparentness is going to look a little out of place when they combine, but maybe not so much? Still, the cool news is that the paragraph confirmed that we'll be getting a new Gestalt head for the final figure. That one I'm dieing to see... especially sense they're designated as a Prime in their combined mode. :D

Considering the molds, I'm really hoping they go with Maximus Prime. And considering free will, I will be calling mine Maximus Prime. :)

I don't see the prime note but since they all still have their decepticon and autobot insignia it'll probably be Megaprime Maximus or Primatron Maximus. Or Deceptiprime Maximus.

And what's more out of place, a non-transparent red figure or the only blue transparent figure?

My only problem with this set...and really it's not the set itself...is that so far 3/4 of the pieces are exactly like my 'custom' Bruticus. And if the current rumor that Barricade will be the body, that would put it at 4/5 parts, which is way too close for me to want them all. Otherwise it looks like a real nice set. But not enough for me to spend $100 bucks hunting down.

Hmmm...any chance that he'll be the last Autobot? But I guess since he's made up of Autos and Deceps that wouldn't make much sense. I just kinda hope he ends up being a character that we've heard of ;-)
Regardless, it's kinda cool to think we're almost there! In another 6-7 months we might even know what he's gonna look like!

    4 down, 1 to go.

What will be interesting will be to see what they come up with for exclusives after next year's.

Wow - that figure is the very definition of 'meh'.

With all the new animated and classics figures announced recently, these look a little poor in comparison :(

It's a free figure for members.
I don't think it's too hard to lower your standard for these.

I just joined up not to long ago.
I ordered the previous three and they should be here today or tomorrow.

I agree, not very impressive with everything else they are coming out with soon.

We were told a couple of years ago that it would be, indeed, a character we've never heard of.

Eh. Not mind-blowing, but for a freebie, that'll work.

Looking forward to two years from now, when I can maybe get excited about these again.

god...it seems like forever since i started getting these...and i only joined the club a year ago...which means that this one will be my first free figure...all the rest were ordered via the club store...cant wait to have all 5 pieces...almost there...

and the transparant parts dont really bother me...i'm just excited to finally have a combiner with a ton of possibilites of different ways to combine....its like a g1 combiner there's so many different combos...and i know these are just the energon molds, but these have 5 DIFFERENT parts...not 3, with 2 repaints...

I signed up for the club on the botcon form. I should get this right? It says something about active members. My credit card has been charged. Does that make me an active member? How much is the club selling the previous years pieces for?
