film cells

    hello does anyone know what those cartoon film cells mounted on a plaque are called are they just film cells? and does anyone know who sells any

    Depends.

    Some are original production cels. These were actually used in the production of the film and can be worth quite a bit of money.

    What people see more often are limited production cels, I think people call them sericels. These are just copies of an original cel or a completely new drawing. Those are not worth as much but can look exactly the same.

    eBay is a good place to find OPC's, or you could got a comic convention, usually there are a few booths dedicated to that.

    I would like to get my hands on some since it is a dying art. Most cartoons are computer drawn now instead of hand drawn.
