because you hate how the other mode looks? I'm sure everyone has a figure like that, you love a figure for an alt or bot mode, but dislike the other.

Mine would be ROTF Leader Megatron. I think his alt mode is terrible and not worth the time getting to. I also keep my ROTF Deluxe Skids and Mudflap in bot mode because fixing the clearance issues is a headache

... and no, it's not so much because he's got a complex transformation, but more so because I like how he's posed & because his leg joints are already loose to the point of making the said poses difficult to pull off. Other than him, my G1 Scorch isn't being transformed again until I can fix his chest joint that's about to break due to a bad design, and most of my others remain on display because that's where I like em.  

 

I'm on board with your choice of Leader Megs from ROTF. Some others:

Generations Straxus stays in robot mode.

ROTF and HftD Fallen stay in robot mode.

DOTM Shockwave stays in robot mode.

ROTF Supreme Devastator stays in combined mode.

I have so many movieverse Bumblebees (because of multipacks! Not because I buy a bunch of single packaged ones!) that I pretty much put a figure in one mode or the other and don't transform it again since that character is so overly represented in both forms in my displays.

07 Leader Optimus stays in alt mode.

Transmetals Cybershark stays in alt mode.

 

Sea Attack and Recon Ravage stay in beast mode. I've never transformed that mold before

I can't agree more. That figure is a shell forming nightmare. His bot mode is horrendous, especially that headsclupt

 

ROTF Soundwave stays in robot mode until further notice.

 

You mean the one that eventually became sky-byte?

 

Cybertron Legends Soundwave - alt. mode looks like crap, so I never even bothered opening the package. To date he's my only MOSC figure, even though he's practically worthless 

Armada Unicron - His chest missile gimmick has gotten so fiddly that for the past few years I have been unable to transform him without his chest cannon opening up and refusing to lock back into place. Not to mention I find the super god robot mode a lot more fun to play with that the planet mode.

ROTF Scalpel - crappy ball joints on the "knees" have all started to split, rendering him unable to stand in bug mode. He stays in microscope mode 24/7 now.

ROTF The Fallen - his alt. mode is utter crap. The only reason I even keep mine around is because he was the titular villian of the second movie and it was a gift from my sister, I actually greatly dislike the toy and his damn springy feet.

 

DOTM Voyager OP stays in bot mode... It is, unfortunately the lesser of two evils.

DOTM Deluxe BB stays in bot mode, ROTF Bee stays in alt mode

ROTF Deluxe Sideswipe stays in alt mode, DOTM Sideswipe stays in bot mode

The Fallen stays in bot mode... His "alt mode" is nothing short of a bad joke.

RID Prowl stays in alt mode... Never liked the thing his doors did on his hips, legs are too skinny IMO for the rest of him.

 

WFC Bumblebee/CLiffjumper stay in bot mode, as I can NOT figure out how to get them to alt mode

 

Big Convoy stays in robot mold all the time in my case   his mammoth mode is pretty awful

 

HFTD Breacher

because that means i got to touch him again, and that is the last thing i ever want to do

 

2 Megatrons come to mind. MP Megatron for his difficulty, and Transmetal Megatron for his GPS issue.

 

1. Takara Buster Prime: I don't want to damage the chrome and break the chest tabs.
2. G1 Devastator + CrazyDevy.com: taking off the leg piece may break the tabs.
3. MP Rodimus: I don't want to break some panel off
4. Binaltech Smokescreen: I don't want to scrape off the shiny blue paint from the die cast
5. Yamato 1/60 VF-1S: I don't want to crack the shoulder hinges
6: Universe Unicron: He doesn't look that great in alt mode

Those are the main ones. The rest I'm just too lazy to transform.

 

Buster Prime. Not because either mode is ugly at all. They're both freaking gorgeous. He just scares the shit out of me. haha

 

I am never transforming Sideburn again. While it's not hard to do, it IS assinine.

 

Masterpiece Rodimus, Masterpiece Megatron, Buster Optimus and Alternator Wheeljack: I wouldn't dream of transforming those brutes.

 

I've never transformed ROTF leader Prime. Which is odd considering hes one of my favorite figures.

 

MP Megatron since I don't want to break the plastic that holds his upper torso and bottom half together and I don't want to deal with crap flying everywhere.
