Just thought this could be a fun thread.

I'll start with DOTM Barricade (admittedly, I ripped the spoiler off) and RID Cliffjumper.

Barricade's robot is fine, in my book.

For me, it's Movie 1 Swindle/Camshaft, many PCC's, and Generations Thundercracker.

A bunch of movie figures. Also a bunch of alternators. Their alt modes are cool but the robot modes are boring. Oh, and First Edition Vehicon. His alt mode looks amazing but the robot mode looks ugly because of the backpack.

Large part of the alt/bt line.

Don't get me wrong- I love those guys. But these are some of the best alt modes ever and many of the bot modes seem a bit dated/clunky now.

Here's one I'm sure we all agree on: DOTM basic human alliance toys.

The robot modes of BT Jazz, Hound and Smokescreen are as good if not better than the Classics versions of those characters. There are your exceptions.

Oh yeah SWTF X-Overs. I'll throw in all of the DOTM Human Alliance, especially Roadbuster/Leadfoot. I actually like the Alts/Binaltech bot modes.

A ridiculous number of TFs that have beast or mechanical creature alt modes. Some that immediately come to mind:

    HftD Insecticon
    G1 Firecons
    Classics Grimlock
Most of the Beast Wars Basics

Actually I think the opposite... their robot modes tend to be stronger, except in the case of Icepick.

HA Sideswipe. Amazing alt mode but the bot mode really suffers from the back pack and and wonky feet.

Very, very very much in agreement. The alt mode is probably one of my favorite alt modes ever. The WWII motif if fantastic. The robot mode is... very... very... eh.
