I guess. Well I guess we’ll see when the figure gets released. Hopefully it isn’t too much of an issue.

Is that a windshield on Prime's back?

Well, I'm not sure if it's just the blurriness of the image, but I just noticed that in the image with Sideswipe using Cog as armor, but his shins kind of look clean. Hopefully it's just stickers they're using for the weathering and they're not applied in this pic.

Honestly, I'm perfectly content with MP10. I know its trying to be more cartoon accurate with all of its car parts folded inside, but MP3.0 looks like he's got too much folding up into his back, like Dinobot and Hot Rod.

Those deep knee bends on Siege and v3 Optimus are making me very happy.

Hmmm, it says MPM Ironhide will contain a lot of diecast. I think we already knew his feet were gonna be diecast. Wonder what else?

    It's not.

No Hasbro stated that it was weathered "paint"

They already have bro, unless you mean the clean Takara version. For which I wholeheartedly agree. ;)

I'm not surprised, but I think it's funny Takara's calling Siege Firebolt "Firebolt", considering they released a better version of him less than a year ago.

And, while I still think MP Prime V3 is realizing a garbage design and I could never bring myself to own it, the posability looks amazing.

What do you mean takara version? Has takara ever done special versions of normal figures? That doesn’t sound right.

Well, the only color versions of Magnus, Chromia, and Ironhide we’ve seen were the painted prototypes. I would definitely like to see an actual production sample of Magnus.

They might be. Might not be.
Depends. It also might depend on how the final turned out too. The concept is supposed to be 'battle damaged' bot mode, clean vehicle mode. But for many that might be too difficult with how much is vehicle mode in bot mode to not look right.

So that aspect may have been scrapped near final production version, since the best places for it are also seen in vehicle mode(the spots for the effects parts).

Or it could be that Takara's are clean and Hasbro's aren't. Or it could be that it'll vary release to release.

On Prime in particular, it may have been tweaked because of how much his vehicle mode is in his bot mode. So there isn't many spots to do that without putting it on his vehicle mode. Whereas someone like Sideswipe, his lower legs, waist, and arms are the only spots that it can be done on. Which then starts to make a slight inconsistent way to do it that makes the damage/dirt look without rhyme or reason.

With how freaking amazing the sculpts and figures came out though, I think it may have ended up scrapped as a detail aspect. Because those figures were too gorgeous to sully like that.

Yeah. They put weathering on the outside of Magnus' forearms. Just the outside.

It may just be the lighting used to take the pictures for the magazine. Because you can clearly see Op still has the weathering on his thighs in this magazine pic.

Can't tell on any of the red plastic, though.

It’s an inbuilt soundpack. So I doubt it.
