Yeah, probably right. But they have done a stand before with sound effects. Trailer would have been ideal. I remember back in the day when I made my own voice and sound effects with my mouth. lol.

Interesting how Takara's Siege figures seem to be "clean". I'm not too bothered with the battle damage gimmick but if the Takara siege releases do end up clean then it's great to have options.

I can't say I have any of the issues he's talking about, but that's not really an answer either. Yeah, most people don't have them facing the wall, but most don't have them just facing forward either. If they're in any kind of action display, some of them are going to be angled and you'll see any "back issues."

 

Hope the "cleaner" look isn't merely a trick of the eye and a sign that Hasbro and Takara made a joint decision to remove that awful weathering. Also stoked that the Micromasters and Targetmasters are decently tiny, even "human" size in my collection. Hooray for unintentional service to some bloke's head canon.  

Siege Hound is looking prettier for some reason. Masterpiece... I did say once that Hound would be the MP that I would get, even if that was a few price tiers ago. Masterpiece Arcee soon, please?

 

Yeah, I understand that, I don't just display mine facing directly forwards, but I don't mind a big backpack too much (unless it messes with the stability. Then I would have a problem with it).

 

I'm not really WOWed like I was when seeing the first proto pics of MP-10 or even MP-36, maybe it's Convoy/Prime fatigue. It will look a lot better when we start to see colour/painted photos. I'll still buy him but I'm definitely more interested in Hound at the moment.

hmm, now that you mention it. I was remembering those CG renders we had which showed OP's arms with the weathering and it doesn't seem to be visible here. Perhaps they toned it down for the final product?
Either way won't really affect me, I'm cool with the whole weathering thing.

 

I suspected that it was still there, but there were a few here speculating. Sucks. All it does is make the toy look unclean and not mesh with my collection. At least the Micromasters are okay, even though they are replacing the current best size class and so far don't have Erector.

 

Why doesn't Hasbro themselves just release upgrade kits like 3P? Just some parts to fix simple problems, add-on figures (like Cog, as you mentioned, or Brunt for Trypticon), extra armor to make something look cooler/more accurate/reference to an alternate series (like an armor/trailer set to make Siege OP look like Cybertron OP, maybe), or extra weapons/combiner parts in a little bag. Maybe something like alternate parts to appeal to customizers. Seeing anything like that would just be awesome.
