Modxtoy.com had uploaded issue 143 of Figure King magazine. Included are pictures of Japanese Animated figures as well as Human Alliance Barricade, other N.E.S.T figures, and an outline of the ROTF The Fallen's toy which confirms that a special repainted version will be exclusive to 2010 Wonder Festival.

Hmmm... don't have any Animated toys to compare for certain, but I'm not spotting any major differences between those and the US versions. Straight-up re-releases, perhaps?

I'm quite looking forward to HA Barricade. In case no one's noticed, he has an opening mouth gimmick a la Skids.

I do have both of those figures to compare and...they look the same. Even down to Bumblebees "stingers" not sitting flush in his arms.

Agreed, though (unless someone who can read the text can say either way) They might just be using the Hasbro-released toys as examples for the magazine photos, and the final Japanese releases will yet have some differences.

I would expect at least the "running change" stuff to be implemented, like Optimus having an Autobot symbol on the shoulder, and BB using the Elite version foldaway stingers.

I just see it all as one more possible opportunity to get the yet-unleleased Animated toys. :)

Which is weird, since Hasbro had that fixed.

That's the most intriguing part of the scans to me as well.

good to see so far the animated is nothing really different to warrant an import.

what the hell is up with the yellow on rampage. that just kills it, but looks nice with the new painted detailed shovel front, but damn that yellow looks sooooo bad.

Figure King (and also Hyper Hobby) mentioned that Transformers Animated (Japanese version) will be "heavily" edited to match the movie setting.
And there is no (C)Hasbro (C)Cartoon Network Studio printed on TakaraTomy's TFA webpage.

Could that be something totally different than what we have here? :D

That's Takara for you. Show/movie-accurate to the point where it hurts the toy.

Get the Hasbro version instead, which shouldn't have any red.

Nothing for me to get excited about here. Will patiently await some more Alternity, Encore or Masterpiece news before my wallet even begins to twitch.

I never understood why toy companies feel the need to perpetuate film errors, especially minor ones like this. Is there any other scene (other than on the ship before Megatron's resurrection) in ROTF where the error can be seen on Rampage, assuming that it is the same Rampage through the entire movie? It is like the Sideshow ANH Darth Vader with only one tusk painted silver and the other black, I didn't even notice it in Star Wars until the figure came out. It was like one scene in the whole movie where it is noticeable.

I really kinda wish Hasbro's version of red Rampage has the Takara version's shovel.
