I am a mod. There's many I would love to ignore. I see everyone's posts regardless of if I want to or not.

For the known Takara fanboy you seem to be lacking a lot of faith in them at this point.

Eh.. it happens. Takara's not going to be correct or "on point" all the time. Heck they even merged with Tomy way back when their brand was waning. Right now it's not pretty encouraging news. Ill be patient to see the outcome in 2018.

Off topic, I would love to see the list of "top ignored posters". I'd imagine this thread would be the veritable jigsaw puzzle for some to read.

On topic, this whole thing has become ridiculous. There is NO concrete evidence that the sky is falling, so put away the umbrellas and pitchforks.

Personally, I really don't give a damn whether Takara releases identical stuff Hasbro does. After all, same factories, same base designs, same mythos. Why should the East get different stuff than the West, and vise versa. Leveling the playing field will only make it fair for all and (hopefully) temper some of the asinine elitism.

More information will most likely be coming in the next few months, but by all means, keep insulting the companies involved and continue spreading the doom and gloom. It makes for some hilarious reading.

/\Not actually directed at just one poster, surprisingly.

Takara needs to resist this BS, they sgould be allowed to do whatever they want since they are focused on the jpanese market. I hope this doesnt last long!!!!!

Cool that the releases are the same, means I have time to catch up on some of the previous Takara releases I wanted before having to add more to that. And this cost cutting measure on Takara's side means more funds to invest in future developments for themselves.

Yeah, the suggestion that Takara made this decision because of Hasbro is pretty farfetched. When have we seen examples of this in the past? The repeated example that we see is each company doing their own independent initiatives. And whenever there's a figure that either company doesn't want to use, they'll simply ignore it. This sounds more like a cost cutting measure. From my point of view its better for TT to slow things down and try to regroup instead of just hibernating the brand.

It also means that it's likely there may be some interesting releases in the future of POTP that unified releases makes sense then. Like maybe the car brothers or starsaber, or some other obscures they both feel could do well in both markets. So why not unify the brand some temporarily to ease costs for both companies. All that means is better developments later.

I'm disappointed. I really enjoyed having the option of picking up what was typically a "better" version of certain molds. Yes, we paid more for them but choices are never a bad thing.
