You're right but I'm the ever optimist. Wouldn't mind the complete set Encore G1 Dinobots myself.

With limited funds & a factory floor job that isn't going places fast, I can only focus on G1 reissues. And given I only got a few so in my collection, any Encore reissue announcement is a welcome surprise.

Good to hear that you already have many of the post-G2 era originals.

As someone who grew up with this series, this toy is legitimately the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in my life. If only I had a spare $300+ laying around.

Seriously though, I hope a lot of people will buy this. Show Takara that there's still interest in the Encore line.

I love that box. Pretty much the same as the original, if I'm not mistaken - just with the "Encore" and "Tomy" parts added (and potentially the new colour schemes being shown but I think most all of that is covered up in combined mode so they probably didn't need to even change the imagery at all - I'd have to check).

You and me both. I wish I had the spare cash for it too because I only ever got RID Optimus, and this thing is just absolutely gorgeous. Plus a continuation of the Encore line in any form is a must-have, in my opinion.

Aw, this looks sick! I'd love to have Optimus and Magnus in my hands, new versions at that! Lemme just check BBTS and see how much it is to preor-

Yeah, Prowl and X-Brawn are the better of the Autobot Brothers, right? I want in on RID, but not for $300.

This is one box I’ll be keeping for sure. Looks like it’ll be a nice figure to change between lots of modes

Back in 2001 I remember being SO excited about the future of Transformers.... Just coming out of Beast Wars, taking the lessons they learned in articulation and applying them to figures with vehicle alt modes... all those ball joints... and then they followed it up with Transformers Armada -_- ..and Energon.. and Cybertron....

Now sure the lines had a few gems, and I have a lot of the toys regardless (I do think they have some A+ head sculpts) but overall it was SUCH a step back in engineering. I was so disappointed. Just imagine how much further advanced we'd be if not for that setback...

They weren't quite so great as figures but they were good toys. I mean the best engineering mainline we had was Universe to about Generations 2010 (I'd extend it to DOTM). Stuff kinda went downhill after that although we've still had nice figures.

No kidding. Nice that we can all share the experience.
