Link is HERE. It's really slow to go through though... so, I added the images for everyone's convenience. Happens to show early versions of Hot Rod and Rhinox. Maybe Japan will get some of the stuff we hoped for over here (thinking of you Omega Supreme). Also, ROTF, Disney and other stuff!

These things are Hot Rod & Rhinox?

I don't know what the thing on the left is supposed to resemble (Transmetal Rattrap? :lol ) but the thing on the right kinda looks-like a Crossover Incredible Hulk.

Where exactly does it show Hot Rod and Rhinox? I don't see them in the pics you posted, and the link is too slow...

I'm hesitating a guess that they're old mock-ups from the Transformers Hero project that Animated stemmed from. One of those pics above them looks like a character line-up, and the big one in the middle kinda resembles Rhinox.

I guess, depending on the success of Animated in Japan there's a chance these could be released at the end of the line but seems unlikely. Shame that the figures got as far as prototypes and likely no further. So close but so far.

Well, actually, it's been established just before your post that these are concepts from TFA pre-production. Not gonna come out at all as far as we know.

I'm sure the Takara guys will find whatever avenue they can to try and get some of the ideas/looks in those toys incorportaed into new ones, because they are awesome and the Takara guys are very good at awesome.

Can we get zoom ins on the images above "Hot rod" and "Rhinox" they appear to be transformation schemes, but they're hard to make out.. Not to mention they Early Animated scene.

I guess I'm not feeling all the "awesome" in those Heroes concept mockups that others are. Maybe if 'Rhinox' had his head on his shoulders instead of sticking out of a thin protrusion jutting from the chest, i'd be all over it, but with that ... not so awesome to me.

No no, I read that. Hence I said it was incredibly unlikely that we'd ever see these on toy-shelves. If Animated were wildly popular in Japan there is a miniscule chance they could potentially release them, however as we both seem to agree, this is a near impossibility.
