Two questions: 1. Are the starters just static pieces? I see Charmander doesn't look like he has shoulder joints. 2. What other accessories do we know he comes with? He has the PokéBall, but I don't know what else. Maybe the Vs Recorder can be removed to give him a more classic look?
I'm pretty sure all the Pokemon are static pieces unfortunately. Only Pikachu comes with an alternate face/head. As for accessories, I don't think there has been any news on that yet. Though from the translation of the Taghobby page, it looks like pre-orders start June 13 in Japan.
Here is the GSC product page: figma Red Price over at GSC: ¥6,296 (Before Tax) As for accessories: He comes with a standard face plate with a confident look as well as a shouting face plate for battle scenes. The figma comes with the first partner Pokémon: Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle. A backpack as well as a Poké Ball are also included for various poses. An articulated figma stand is included, which allows various poses to be taken. Preorders from the Pokémon Center, Pokémon Store or Pokémon Center Online will include a Pikachu as a bonus!
And the winking Pikachu release from GSC won't ship outside of Asia. That's super lame. Guess I might wait to see if the US Pokemon Center store is included for the standard Pikachu...
¥5,480 over at AmiAmi: figma - Pokemon: Red[Good Smile Company] I'm just gonna preorder with AmiAmi over GSC. Pikachu would be nice, but I already have a December order over at AmiAmi w/ Tracer. The description on the AmiAmi page says Red is for sale in Japan only. I'd say hurry up and preorder one just in case. They took down Revoltech Deadpool before because that wasn't supposed to be available outside of Japan, but AmiAmi still honored my preorder.
figma リンク トワイライトプリンセスver. DXエディション レビュー : はっちゃか For those wondering: Was going to place an order, but then I saw the Pikachu. Nope, not interested. Will pick it regularly.
GSC won't ship out of Asia and the US Pokemon Center store (if it does get the exclusive version at all) doesn't ship to Canada so either way so I'm stuck with the regular release. I don't mind though because I'm not exactly a fan of paying so much extra for a static Pikachu figure. Haha. Same, decided to go with AmiAmi because I wanted Tracer as well as MP Sunstreaker which should release in the same month.
I like this new Link a lot but I still prefer the Skyward Sword version. I just dig those proportions more.
Meh yeah gave up on the GSC Red. Just don't care for the extra cost associated with using a forwarding service. Just went for the standard release on AmiAmi. --- Hadn't really played with my TP Link until yesterday even though I've had him for a week. I still do really, really like the SS Link, but it did always bother me that he was lacking such obvious details like the chain links. TP Link just nails everything. And of course the accessories in the DX version I'm finding a ton of fun. The only thing I don't like is his hat; it's just really long and really feels in the way more so than the other Links.
Sorry I did not realize this was some major argument. Within my circle of friends this is only a joke that gets brought up sometimes. Didn't mean to ruffle any feathers here.
Oh wow I had no idea it was that bad. It has always been a casual laugh fest among friends, but then again only one plays the games (card/video) at a high level. The rest of us have not had any real investment in the series since the gold and sliver days pretty much.
