Just watched Fight or Free over again and I was caught the scanner the Autobots used to tell is Sandstorm was telling the truth. Am I the only one of thought "Oh, they ripped off the brainstormer from Gobots!"?

Without knowing exactly what you are referring to, a truth detector is an extremely common sci-fi device. Transformers nor GoBots invented it.

I know it's a common device, but Gobots used it all the time as a plot device for the heroes. I thought it funny that suddenly Tranformers pulled it out of nowhere.

The polygraph (lie-detector) is a pretty old device, and exists in the real world, though it has issues in terms of accuracy.

Oddly enough, the polygraph was essentially invented by William Marston, who also create Wonder Woman. I'm not making this up.

    Scanner says... 'No'.

Something cannot rip something off if the second something isn't the originator of the idea or concept.

Sure you can, if that's where you got the idea.

But, here's the thing, they didn't.

And consider this, if both shows used it at the same time, how would it be possible to rip off one or the other? They would have been in production ages ago and I seriously doubt a TF worker infiltrated the Go-Bots production studio to rip off one idea that they didn't even come up with.
