not bad, but i already got the original, the PS1 collection, and the GBA versions...even though this looks cool, thats too much FF1 & FF2 for me.

i'm guessing, FF3-FF6 on the PSP with this graphics remake then it being ported to the DS...then another one when it turns 25 years old.

My guess is that they'll finally announce that FFVII remake that they haven't said two words about in a year and a half. Yes, I know it was just a demo reel, but they know as well as everyone else that the internet collectively has a permanent nerd-on for that game, and we all know it's coming anyway. If not now, then for the PS4 or the PSP2.

Besides, it's not as if they're opposed to remaking games unnecessarily. I mean, seriously. A fourth remake for these games? You'd think that by now they'd at least do something drastic with the first one like giving it a plot or characters or something.

...however, since I never bought Origins or Dawn of Souls, and I'll most likely be (reluctantly) getting a PSP for FFT: the Lion War, I'll probably end up getting these. Though it makes a little part of my soul die to think about it.

Cool. I've only played Final Fantasy of any version over at friends' houses. I liked it well enough, but never had the patience in the past to pour into a game like that.

Now, I do. And I just picked up a PSP a few weeks back. So, Final Fantasy sounds like a pretty good set of titles, even if it's only the first ones, to get ahold of.

Can't be worse than the one RPG I have now.

wow, the number of awesome PSP games just doubled. :rock  seriously tho, the GBA version is still available and is only $20 new, for both games. But if that wasn't an option, I'd buy these in a heartbeat. I love that my DS has FF 1-6 in it's library, but between these and an emulator, a PSP should be able to run FF 1-9. That's just awesome.

Square-Enix is cashing in on FF by platform just with the reissues too...

FF1 and FF2: PSX, GBA, PSP (and Wonderswan)
    FF3: DS
    FF4-5-6: PSX GBA
Crystal Chronicles (Even though nobody cares about it): GC

Thats every Nintendo and Sony console so far minus the new gen which PS3 has FF13 coming.

Or make the second one not suck. :p

Seriously tho, even with my plans to eventually buy a PSP for FFT, I won't buy these unless they're real cheap.

i don't think FF:CC for the Wii is a remake, i think its a sequel.

the one on the DS (also a FF:CC title) is either side-story or a sequel too.

    It's a sequel, not a remake

Would it kill them to remake something that hasn't hit the US? Or maybe something that hasn't already been ported/remaked/whored out 60 times?

We'll never get Dragon Quest V, Bahamut Lagoon, or Seiken Densetsu 3 at this rate.

Maybe with this game the PSP will start selling more... poor system.

Hey, I love my PSP but there aren't very many GOOD games for it. FF1 and FF2 should help the system out.

chrono trigger or ff7 would help the psp. these pretty much look like the gba/ps1 games in hi-res.
