"Feuer Frei!" Scatter Blaster for DOTM Megatron

Since Dark of the Moon came out and fans realised that none of the Megatron toys come
with that awesome looking fusion shotgun, the number of requests for it is amazing.
After a long, long wait, it is done!



Made to be as movie accurate as possible, I had to alter some aspects to allow it to be
used with standard figures. The main challenge is to incorporate the original curved
handle design into a 5mm peg. I've also received requests to modify the handle to allow
an unmodded Megatron to hold it.

Now, unfortunately the peg on the handle is too loose to fit on the slot inside Megatron's
hand. I've edited the model so subsequent orders will have a thicker peg. It's thicker to
the point of overcompensation, so if it's too tight, use a blade to shave down the peg.

For those who have already ordered the scatter blaster, you can try thickening the peg
with super glue. Didn't really work out for me, but you might have better luck. If there's
any consolation, the blaster fits his forearm peg really well!

Edit: After about 5 coats of careful super glue application, hey! the peg worked perfectly! Vary to taste.



There are 2 auxiliary pegs midway down its length that you can use to store the blaster
on Megatron's back or alt mode.



Measuring about 9.6 cm long, it fits in that comfortable size that works with both voyager
and leader figures. Although if you feel that this version is too small for leaders, I've
included an enlarged variant. Link is below.

Thats pretty interesting. Love the design, not sure if it fits the character. But it might be cool for someone like classics Kup.

That is spectacular! To bad you can't say the same about the megatron figure we got for DOTM

Is that the small or the large version that he's holding? I don't have the DOTM voyager to compare.

Since the handle is supposed to work with any 5 mm holes, it should be able to be held be Classics figures, right?

 

I recommend this gun as I sold the large sized one with my leader megs ! awesome detail and well made! I will be ordering another very soon for my MK3 leader dotm megs !
