Thanks! Make a sure to post some pics when you finish your customs!
now on Shapeways:
Null-rays for CW Slingshot (e.g., for Slipstream): http://shpws.me/NUsG
Spider gun-legs for Airachnid from CW helicopter: http://shpws.me/NUsi
I am working on 2 teams of femme OC combiners based on the G2 Combaticons and Stunticons. Smallfoot had the right proportions to take the place of Motormaster in my female stunticons.
What's your plan for the combimer head ...???...
Not sure. I might use the Thunderblast head I am currently working on.
Also, I'm using Override with one of the CW cars.

Thanks. I just wish there was a way for me to make it cheaper. $26 base materials price is too steep, IMO, especially when you take into account the extra cost of shipping. Size matters a lot more than material. So even it I make the thing hollow, it doesn't reduce the cost much.
Labor, materials, and # parts, are all a small factor in price. Machine space is the big driver of price: How 3D prints are priced at Shapeways - Shapeways
Hmm, how many pieces make up the entire hammer...???...
2. If i connect them with a sprue or something it reduces the price by about 10 cents. Multiple parts only drive the price up when you have alot of parts.
Well, I finally got home from da oilfield, and found that my order has arrived! All my prints came out great, I can't thank you enough for the designs! I'll keep everyone updated as the slow progress on Grand General Strike continues....
"Grand General Strika" - awesome name!
Thanks! I had enough time to assemble Strika this morning... everything is good! Combiner head joint is a little loose, but nothing that some nail polish won't fix. One last update, then I 'll get my own thread started soon...
Remember kids, if that lame bot on your shelf is wearing a body that would better suit your favorite, underrated character, or if you've heard all the Kidbots and Teencons going on and on about these newfangled "genders" and you would like to test drive a new one, remember what your old Uncle Fuhzimota says- "When it comes to upgrades, IT''S QUATERNION, OR NOTHING!"
Haha thanks for the marketing pitch. Please send a link to your thread when you create it. I really want to see how it turns out when she's all painted up in her Grand General glory.
Also, in related news, I am still working on my female stunticons, specifically motormaster at the moment. So, to make MM look more feminine,
I made a smallfoot head for it, flipped the robot mode backwards (waist and forearms), swapped the hands so the thumbs would be on the inside, mistransformed the waist a bit (still very stable due to the ratcheting-ish abs articulation) to improve overall proportion, popped off the combiner codpiece and made a little adapter for the chest so it could sit on the chest in a more chest-like way. As a result of this, I think she is now the most well endowed female TF ever (perhaps a little too well endowed, actually ). Giving her a gigantic robo-boob job wasn't my intention, but it just kind of worked out that way, and I like it better than the flat chested default MM look. Besides, there is nothing wrong with having huge boobs at the same time as being a total badass. So, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
The hand flip causes a couple of small problems that can be fixed with careful dremeling. The hands dont fold exactly flush to the wrists any more and thus the final step of the transformation where the knees are supposed to lock in - they can't lock in any more (unless I dremel down the back of the hand a bit). But they get really close, and with all the ratchets and locking parts, it stays together just fine in alt mode regardless. And the non-flush hands are not super noticeable in robot mode, so, I'm not planning on dremeling it.
I'm not sure anyone else would want to mod MM like this, but, if you do, I can put this stuff on Shapeways. I actually have a Strika head for this mold on Shapeways that would look better IMO if you do the hands and chest mod pictured here.
@Quaternion you planning on surgery for Titans Return Nautica...???...
i need to come here more, and remind myself to add a few things into my shapeways wishlist!
Yep! I'll be finishing up my Thunderblast head soon and then start working on Nautica. I've wanted to make her a head for a while but was waiting until I saw what Hasbro was gonna offer. I wish they didnt just remold the Blurr mold again though. Seems like she'd work better with the upcoming TR windblade.
Although, IMO, a character named Nautica should be a boat. So maybe I will do a version of her for Cyb. Thunderblast just for kicks.
A new front end...and...cockpit section...would help her look less Blurry...if its possible...I can't truly say I've none of the mold mates in-hand to be sure...
