I would say there aren't that many because there's no body to put them on. I know it's an established practice around here to repaint and re-head figures to make them into other characters but I can't say I'm a huge fan of that. You slap a different head on Wheeljack and you've got... Wheeljack with a different head. I mean it's one thing for there to be three Decepticon jets that look identical aside from color (along with rainmakers and generics), and three Autobots with the same body type who transform into the same Datsun, but I don't understand the reasoning behind a Decepticon who looks exactly like Wheeljack with a different head (talking about Marlboro or whatever he's called obviously) since we didn't really see that in the toon or comics (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong here).

So if, for example, I wanted an Elita One, I wouldn't want her to look like Blurr or Arcee with a different head. I'd want her to look like Elita One. There is no base figure that looks like her appearance in the G1 cartoon that I know of.

ah. forgot about this thread. i could use some help/advice. i have an TFP:BH arcee without the front motorcycle bits, as well as a spare t30 windblade in need of purpose (might add the non-spare if TR windblade is that good). been considering something bestial with arcee, like maybe an OC resembling the pokemon type:null or silvally.

i'm sure someone is, but i'm not. the mold looks pretty good to me.

@marvel b Buckethead could be a custom of Scoop...unless you can acquire a spare Scrapper...her color scheme seems slightly different than Scrappers...she'd need a new head...but...we could request that of @Quaternion ...Pyro could be that Asian Kids Day Hot Spot (I think) new head I guess...not seeing what can different with Devestator overall...unless when Buckethead is with the team Devestator is fem because she is the lead...then maybe she should have a different breast plate than Scrapper...for combine mode...

It's a ways off before I directly attempt it...but yes. Finishing up a deco layout proof of concept first.

    so....botanica...she's a plantformer....who dates a rat.....here's a few ideas......

    1. paint the TLK Quintessa that comes with infernicus (i'm going to do it hopefully)
    2. windblade as an alternative to prime/beast hunter soundwave
    3. tr bumblebee, because her animated version transforms "into the cutest little coupe"

I think BW Uprising used BH Soundwave for Botanica. You'd just need a new head. Though the mention of Windblade has reminded me of a long ago idea of using FE Prime Starscream as a Windblade retool.

This thread had slipped my mind as funds to do the customs got diverted elsewhere...

I know this is an older post...at that time Wheelie would have been decent for a couple femmes...still wouldn't mind a custom femme from him...just not sure who...now I've no need for Moonracer, Greenlight or Lancer from him...maybe..Glyph...

Well, anatomically-speaking, what makes a bot chassis look particularly feminine when there's no overt secondary characteristics is the shoulder-to-hip ratio...even the clunkiest robot can be seen as feminine with slimmer shoulders and wider hips. It's not a hard and fast rule, but, speaking as a sketch artist and character designer, a basic hourglass-ish shape is ideal for getting the feminine appearance across without resorting to Soryama-style sexbots. Related, the artists' rule of thumb for faces defers to feminine contours being more rounded and egg-shaped, with a narrower but not necessarily pointy chin. Again, though, individual tastes may vary...RID15 Strongarm looks acceptably feminine while still being broad-shouldered largely due to her more feminine face, after all.

I've been working on an all-female Autobot combiner for a couple of years now, all OCs except for one, and, for starters, I can say that the CW Alpha Bravo body is excellent for a femmebot. My biggest issues have been with the torso component and the Legends Groove-based motorcycle member, since there are only two existing heads for it and neither are particularly feminine; I've been trying to work around that by painting the pointy Groove head's chin to resemble a chinstrap. In the torso component's case, I went with the Silverbolt/Scattershot body, since it had the smallest hip-to-shoulder ratio (not sure why Hasbro went with Hot Shot), but while finding a Voyager scale head isn't that hard, especially since you can use ones for the Hot Spot/Onslaught mould, there are a limited number of options for gestalt heads even on Shapeways. POTP Elita-1 offers some potential, especially since I figured out a way to use Legends Groove as a chest piece with just the addition of a couple of 5mm pegs...yeah, there's a teeny bit of partsforming in that you have to remove them when she's in any other mode, but the same goes for the combiner hands and feet, so hey...but the jet mode doesn't offer the customization potential of the CW torsos, especially since the OC in question is supposed to be spaceworthy. That's just on me, though, I admit.
Since the TR Bumblebee and POTP Windcharger bodies have interchangeable heads, those seem to be the likeliest smaller-scale candidates for more radical modding, especially with SteamShield and Fakebusker providing additional heads, such as Glyph and the female FIRRIB-style Freezon. Offhand, does anyone know if those heads are also interchangeable with the Wheelie or Brawn bodies?

The Thrilling 30 Tailgate/Combiner Wars Windcharger mold would now be perfect for customs of Freezon (Frumble head)/Natron (Datsun trio head)...

As well as maybe some of the Soundwave tentacles that are kicking around Shapeways =) What's a plant (especially one that looks vine-based) without long reaching appendages?

Anyways, there's a few custom fem-bot ideas around the boards. I'm really into the combiner play pattern and would happily continue buying female combiners as long as the molds hold up. I'm looking into converting a few guys out of the existing figures into a custom combiner for the Decepticons (since the 'bots already have Victorion (who is highly under-appreciated, and desperately needs an affordable upgrade kit), and to me, Megatronia doesn't quite count, since she's literally the same as Vic, only done up to look like the Psycho Rangers. I'm thinking of working on a modified version of LioKasier - the custom one by omochasouko02 on Twitter. Converting Onslaught into a version of Thunderblast would certainly work. Would need to figure out how to turn Onslaught into a boat of course (or maybe be able to flip between missile carrier, boat, robot and torso - would that make her a quad-changer?), but should be entirely possible. Leozack would be replaced with Lyzack (using a modified Swoop to possibly make her into a boxy little jet with massive wings). The rest I can figure out later... hmm...
