....Wow. Colour me surprised, because I really thought that Raising Hell was the end of the Overlord (both the character and the game). Not that I mind, loved that game. It wasn't a perfect masterpiece, but it was definately a lot of fun. IGN: GC 2008: Overlord Minions First Look IGN: GC 2008: Overlord Dark Legend for Wii IGN: GC 2008: Overlord II on the Way Minions sounds like your typical kiddy DS game, but Dark Legend and Overlord 2 sound very interesting. I like what I heard of the settings so far, it's nice that Dark Legend is a prequel to 2 (though doesn't that make DL Overlord 2, and wouldn't OL2 be Overlord 3 then...?), and the Wii controls for DL sound hilarious. I wonder how they're going to do the new Overlord's mother as well, but she'll probably have died in childbirth while you never hear anything of her sister (though it would be hilarious to hear either Rose or Velvet scold your ass for not being a good/evil Overlord). I do hope you'll see "Daddy" though, could be an...Interesting little conflict. >:}
I knew there was a game I wanted to pick up for my PS3, I just couldn't remember what it was. Can't wait to get Overlord now, especially knowing that a sequel is coming over the horizon
Interesting that Dark legends storylike is by Terry pratchett's daughter - I hope she gets her sense of humour from her dad!
Yeah, heard about that, looking VERY much towards the DS and PS3 versions. Would get the Wii version too, if I could stand playing on that console.
Just watched the newest gameplay walkthrough for Overlord II. I really like how beefy and gnarly the new Overlord feels compared to his "dad". So much so that I hope the game will give the Overlord more to do than just command his minions and occasionally chop stuff up. Although being able to kill "fluffy water rats" and hippy elves in large numbers is just begging for flames from PETA.
The demo gets hilarious when you send a pack of your minions on wolves after a pack of white baby seals. Ooooh, the carnage. The sweet, sweet carnage.
