anyone know anything about this site or the quality of this?

 

I've bought a loose Breacher off them before, it took about 2-3 weeks to get here but it arrived in pretty good shape.
Other than that it's the only time I've bought off them.

YA Hobby they are great ive gotten a lot of stuff from them (On the low thats where i got my ROTF Bruthticus, MP Grimlock )the only bad thing i can say is that they take 3 weeks

Yeah. Yahobby's owner blames the customer if there's something wrong with the order. There's a whole thread on Seibertron.com about it. If the forum wasn't down, I'd link you.

 

Yeah, Seibertron is down due to a server switch.

Anyways, don't buy from them. They will put you through hell due to their mistakes and sometimes send your order separately which makes very little sense.

Order at your own risk, but I wouldn't do it.

 

Its very tempting because they sell a lot of their items fairly cheap. They were one of the last sites that sold Henkei Ironhide and Ratchet less than $40. I hesitated because of how flakey the site and feedback was like. Too bad, sold out now. I've been looking for them ever since unless if I want to pay $100 each on Ebay. The only thing I really hear bad about them is sometimes the box arrives damaged.

as long as it gets here in one piece, and the product isnt damaged, i wont complain.  

 

I ordered a KO City Commander from them awhile back. No real complaints, but don't expect the missle launchers/gun add-on.

It shipped about as fast as something can ship from China to the US.

 

Assuming one could obtain Ultra Magnus, how does this KO stack up? Tempting from a display only perspective w/o caring as much about the resale value...

 

I don't have a Magnus, but ended up with a KO Magnus pretty cheap.

On the KO Magnus, the boots, waist, and chest all fit nice and snug. The shoulders stay on well, but like to droop away from the body. And the hands/forearm pieces will fall off if I look at it wrong.

I ended up stuffing paper in the armor where contact is made with the figure and everything stays pretty snug now.

But there is no way in hell the KO Magnus will ever be able to support the BFG.

Haven't tried the armor on my (official) Nemesis Prime, but I've heard the issues are about the same.

I got the armor to be a cool display piece, not to play with or mess around with. And for that purpose, I'm very happy with it.

 

do you think a thin layer of crazy glue applied would help tighten up the loose pieces?

 

still the cheapest place to find the damn ko... knew it was too goo to be true with the weapons... damnit...

 

I just got my KO city commander in today. It was my first purchase from yahobby and I'm pretty satisfied with the service, although it took about 3 weeks to arrive. As for the city commander, while the paint apps are pretty good, the fit on ultra magnus is horrible and I have a legitimate ultra magnus. I'm having the same exact issues as zacharybinx. I also have a KO DIA commander which fits better and has the missiles and I have a legit fansproject DIA commander that fits perfectly. I wanted to avoid repainting my fp DIA commander to city commander colors by buying the KOs but I think I'M gonna go through with it and just paint it. It's the only way I'll be happy and buying a legitimate FP city commander set is out of the question for me (I simply refuse to pay over $200 for one).

 

It might, haven't tried that. I know once I got everything to where it would stay together, I vowed never to touch it again. Lol.

 

My dealings with Yahobby so far..

Thanks to this thread I was able to snatch 2x KO City Commander and United Jazz -- Jazz was stated as out of stock but the site allowed me to order it anyway. Order was submitted Monday. The next day I got an email stating that Jazz is out of stock and they immediately refunded the cost of United Jazz plus cost of shipping for it. So far they seem to be legitimate.

 

I thought they were long sold out of the CC kos.. Nice job scoring them ^^

 

I order Grapple n Lugnut on the 5th of this month and I'm still waiting. Hope it comes in nexts week!
