Up until a two nights ago I wasnt remotely a tennis fan. That is until watching last nights match between Del Potro and Federer. But this was one of the most exciting sports events Ive seen, I tuned into the 2nd set when it looked like Federer was in firm control and then Del Potro made an amazing comeback, dragging it to 5 sets and barely squeeking out the upset victory. Federer had gone 2002 days without a US open loss. This might be the most exciting tennis match in US Open history.

It was really good and I think the only person more surprised by the outcome than me was Federer himself. But the most exciting match in US Open history? It was pretty good, but I've followed the US Open for 25 years or so and I can think of quite a few that were much more exciting.
